like everyone else said you can only use it when you are taking off && when you land...they usually tell you over the speaker thing when you can use them...unless you have a phone that has airline mode. i think its sorta a new feature, but my dad has it on his phone && hes had his cell phone for over a year. if its on airline mode thenn it wont interfear with any intruments..the funny part is when the airline attendants freak out cause you have your cell phone on and you just tell them its on airlineee mode =]
have fun!!

Disregard the first answerer. YOU CANNOT USE YOUR CELL PHONE AT ALL, MUCH LESS HAVE IT ON!!!!. You know why, because one, you might mess-up the instruments. Two, if you call, do you know how many cell-phone towers and satellites you will trigger? Yeah a lot because you're in the air! I'm trying not to sound like a jerk, but I'm saving your life.

Of course you can't, all cell phones MUST be turned off when the cabin doors close, it could interfere with cockpit instruments.

The only time you cant use a phone is during take off and landing. The flight attendent will let you know when its ok during the flight to use it. Have a nice trip.

There will be no signal once the plane takes off. You can text them before the plane leaves and when it touches down. Good luck!

NO ! It is the rule. NO phone calls with a cell phone while in the air.
They will remind you.
