Well, you have to wait until you are 16 in most states to drop out of school, so just wait a few more years and you can drop out of school and go on welfare and be an embarrassment to your family and a burden on society.

Concentrate on the reasons holding you back. Work on those.
If somehow it's outside circumstances that interfere, get some help to get those fixed.
A secret to success in life at your age and any age is to buck up, deny yourself immediate pleasures and rewards until later. Don't watch TV. The denied energy will be channeled to your mind instead.
Be honest. Look to a goal--passing your tests- and apply yourself. Make sacrifices towards the goal. Most people respect making sacrifices.
It shows character. It creates character.
Focus on studying. Focus on those subjects that are being the hardest for you. Once you get into it you may find that you have a SECRET ADVANTAGE over the younger students BECAUSE YOU ARE OLDER -You have more life experience, more matured brain & body that can think further.
Once you start moving along, try testing out of the next grades as soon as you can.
You can also try these alternatives
-Go to summer school.
-Change teachers.
-Get a tutor,
-Get a mentor - a "big brother/ sister"- an older student or an adult who will encourage you.
-Have them change the way you're taught.
-Change schools.
-Have your parents try home-schooling instead.
Keep a positive view of yourself, no matter what anyone says.
Good luck.

Where in the world did you go to school? I wonder if your parents can talk to your principal and have you put in an appropriate grade for your age. If that doesn't work out, whatever you do, don't be a bully! The kids will be your friend if you are a nice person to be with. Be kind and helpful, but not a pushover either.

Take a test for the grade that you are suppose to be in. If you can show the school board that your smart enough to advance to the grade that your supposed to be in then that would work. If not, just keep trying amigo

If it bothers you a lot, I suppose you could be homeschooled until you catch up, and then go back to school with the grade that fits your age. Best of luck to you!

You sound like 7 or 8 OTHERS on this Site who are struggling with their -ah, Education. I wouldn't worry too much about "fitting in" in Third Grade, though...-I'd just worry about finishing High School before you have your first heart attack. :)
