How come the Insurgents have higher values than the American troops?

Source: BBC News. CNN News. USA News. Facts! If the USA Military were told they would no longer get paid and must fight free then all soldiers ( Marines, Army Navy, Air Force) would quit. Look at the Insurgents. They fight for free. They don't get a pay check every two weeks. Yet they fight the Americans day in and day out. For free! So guess who will win? ( Note: Know history? Look up Vietnam) Now tell me the USA will win. 2nd Note: The USA Killed more of the enemy in Vietnam than they killed of us but we still lost Vietnam. Any idea when we will lose Iraq?

I wouldn't say Iraqi insurgents as a whole have higher values than American troops. Then again, it's ignorant for people to just assume they fight because they're religious fanatics or they're from the Western-hating crowd. If a man's country was invaded and occupied for any reason, let alone a dubious one, who is to say he won't feel compelled to resist? There is no central 'insurgent' group providing all of the attacks and murders going on - indeed, some fight both occupiers and each other.

To answer your question though the problem with Iraq is not Iraqis, it's Iran. Lastly who knows who will win the war, I am not sure. The west has far too much of a touchy feely view to war. Bring back Pershing and let him handle this and I gurantee you we would win. But current popular views in the west would not condone this types of actions while the insurgents behold them. Funny for such a religious region of the world to condone such brutal acts. The west accidently kills civilians it's outcry. Insurgents do it and people say it's sad. In the end of the day I believe one thing that will come out of this war will be the stygma of Islam and the sad manipulated few extremists have created for a peaceful reigion. I'm not going to bad mouth you but consider this, the insurgents still have to provide for themselves and their families, whether or not this is all provided for them for fighting against the US, I don't know, but I highly doubt it. They've still gotta have a real job, since they need some sort of income. Fighting the US isn't a full time job for them. All they're doing is taking pop shots and setting off ied's, not a full time job. Plus they get to do all this without leaving the comfort of their homes, or neighbor hood even.

If you where to ask any american soldier if they'd stay at home in the US and occationaly pop your head out your window just long enough to kill a passing by insurgant,I'm sure they'd all be more than happy to do it, even if we didn't get paid. This is why your philosiphy is flawed.

One of your problems is believing what you see on liberal media channels. Second, if military was only interested in money they would all be mercenaries and make real money. The military didn't lose Vietnam, the media did. The liberals wanted us to pull out of Vietnam so we did as they wished. The liberals want us to pull out of Iraq so we probably will sooner or later. your an idiot. im a former marine with 2 tours in iraq and was wounded my second tour. military in general gets paid crap for what they are doing out there and being away from there loved ones. why would they do it for free? and the insurgents do all what they do for there religious beliefs and what not and think they are going to allah if they do this and that. insurgents have no morals or high standards.
