Ketchup is loaded with sugar! My daughter loves ketchup. Her bedroom is decorated with Heinz. She wears a shirt that says, I put ketchup on my ketchup. It really won't hurt you. Just try to be reasonable about using it. Mayo is way more fattening than ketchup. I say enjoy but don't become retarded about it. LOL

ketchup or tomato sauce - look at the ingredients and food values on the lable. If sugar content is over 10gm for 100gms of sauce then it isn't healthy for you.

Usually a little is fine . a little is a tablespoon no more.

My nutritionist told me about the "under 10gms sugar / fat in 100gms of food. Rule"

No, ketchup is "bad" for u. Its not terrible though. The only reason its "bad" is because it has a high salt content and other not so great ingredients. Its ok once in a while though.

I think ketchup has a lot of sugar in it, which is not that great for you if you are eating large amounts.

Actually it is healthy . We have been underestimating Tomatos for many years because its such a staple ingredient, Ketchup is mostly puree and good for you.

Well ketchup does have sugar in it (most of it does) but it also contains lycopene antioxidants and a lot of potassium, so I say it is a fair tradeoff probably.

I saw a ketchup bottle touting its healthful qualities. It is made from tomatoes, which are low fat and have vitamins.

kinda depends on the brand. it's not really good for you but there are worst things... it doesn't really cause weight gain but it's loaded w/ sodium... which causes health problems. you might want to tone it down a bit
