Preferably one that would help a child (8 years old, for example) cope with any problems (emotional or otherwise) she might have after battling leukemia.

I would recommend the ACOR listserv for her parents. Check Candlelighters as well. Childhood leukemia is well recognized so a trip to the library my yeld many books for your niece. She or her parents should check with her doctor's as well. There may be a local group that they are unaware of.

There's a movie called "The Anissa Ayala Story". It's an early 90s movie I think. It's a really good movie to watch if you can find it...it was a made-for-tv one.

She has a website...it might be www.anissaayala.com. If it's not, just Google her name.

She was in high school when she was diagnosed though.
