Lately, my 2 1/2 year old son has been randomly vomiting, usually after meals. He's not sick. He has no temperature and does not complain of any pain. He just stops playing for minute, pukes, and then runs off again and keeps playing. Over the last 3 weeks, it's happened maybe 8 times and I'm truly baffled. His doctor said just to watch him and bring him in if it gets worse.
Anyone ever heard of this???

Actually, my brother did this for awhile, around that age. It was quite traumatizing, because he would get upset afterwards and start crying and it would make him throw up worse. The doctors never really explained what happened in his case either, but he eventually got over it himself.

I would insist that the doctor does a stool sample. This is to see what is going on inside. I know of a child this kept happening to and she actually caught something from swimming in a public pool. The only way they were able to determine what it was, was because of a stool sample. She is fine and healthy now.

mm, this happened to my little sister.
i think it was a stomach virus, and this usually happens in the summer for her.
just make sure he gets fluids, but not too much so he doesnt throw it up again.
try foods like jell-o and slowly start building up his meals.
good luck, hope i helped!

my cat does it....
I know this sounds stupid....
But when she's really hungry and she's had to wait for food for awhile... once she gets it she scarfs it down and then like 10 mins-1 hr later she's thrown it up. Then she's fine and sometimes right back to the food bowl.

try keeping him in one place until he's done...then let him relax. running around while eating or right after makes everyone puke.
