1 Kings 8:41-43
"As for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your name- for men will hear of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm—when he comes and prays toward this temple, then hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house I have built bears your Name.
Questions:
1) Why did God choose Israel, and what does that mean for people who are not Jewish?
2) Who are the people of God?
3) How does your church or group accept people that are different from them?

1. God chose Israel because throughout the Bible (before Israel was chosen) which tribe/country was most devoted to God? Which tribe/country did God manifest Him to? Which ones had the prophets? Israel. Back then, (Old Testament) it means that the rest of us were STILL welcome. Notice it says in the verse that foreigners were still welcome to pray to God in their land, in their temples. That the Jews were required to do whatever they can for the foreigners. Why do you make it sound twisted? It merely makes us Gentiles. After Jesus, it doesn't matter who is who. Anybody believes in Jesus is automatically a Jew-Christian.
2. As of now, ANYONE who believes in Jesus.
3. My church accepts anyone who walks in, accepts any questions asked.

God choose Israel not because they were different, but he had made a covenant with their ancestor Abraham & he always keeps his word
(Deuteronomy 7:7-8) . . .“It was not because of YOUR being the most populous of all the peoples that Jehovah showed affection for YOU so that he chose YOU, for YOU were the least of all the peoples. 8 But it was because of Jehovah’s loving YOU, and because of his keeping the sworn statement that he had sworn to YOUR forefathers, that Jehovah brought YOU out with a strong hand, that he might redeem you from the house of slaves, from the hand of Phar′aoh the king of Egypt.
He only dealt with the israelites at that time, but he didn't forget the rest of mankind
(Genesis 18:18) 18Â Why, Abraham is surely going to become a nation great and mighty, and all the nations of the earth must bless themselves by means of him.
well the Jews lost that prividledge when they Killed his Son
(Matthew 23:37-38) 37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent forth to her,—how often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks together under her wings! But YOU people did not want it. 38 Look! YOUR house is abandoned to YOU. . .
Like God commanded in the 1st place any alien resident who would live by his laws was acceptable to him same in the christian congregation today
(Exodus 12:47-49) . . .All the assembly of Israel are to celebrate it. 48 And in case an alien resident resides as an alien with you and he will actually celebrate the passover to Jehovah, let there be a circumcising of every male of his. First then he may come near to celebrate it; and he must become like a native of the land. But no uncircumcised man may eat of it. 49 One law is to exist for the native and for the alien resident who is residing as an alien in YOUR midst.”

Deuteronomy 7:7 It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the LORD set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples, 8 but it is because the LORD loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers, that the LORD has brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.
Ephesians 2:11 Therefore remember that at one time you Gentiles in the flesh, called "the uncircumcision" by what is called the circumcision, which is made in the flesh by hands-- 12 remember that you were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15 by abolishing the law of commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. 17 And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. 19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,

Diversity: One guest speaker looked at our Sunday morning crowd and said, "This church looks like the United Nations!" Indeed, God has brought together a rich blend of believers from many different races and ethnic groups. Our membership also includes people of all ages who represent a wide variety of denominational backgrounds, vocations, and economic levels.

1 - God chose the weakest of people to show his might. It has always been a characteristic of God to use the discarded of society to acomplish great things.
2 - The people who God made a covenant with.
3 - I don't have a particular denomination anymore. I got sick of their narrowminded view of doctrine and they inability to leave the doctrine of men.
