well i liked this girl for about a year and i want to ask her out to the movies or something tomorrow, problem is that my friend called me right about when i was going to ask her and told me if he wanted me to go watch the Transformers movie TOMORROW. but he said we're going at 4. so what should i do? maybe a morning date?

Well the problem is that im kind of superstitious and tomorrow IS july 7, 2007, 07 07 07! :D so yeah. i want to get lucky ^_^. i dont know. thats just me.

Bump one or the other to another day.
If you make a date for the morning with her and the date is going well but you have this 4pm deadline looming ahead of you she will probably pick up on your tension and may not respond favorably.
A first date set for the morning is a bit weird especially with it ending because you have to go be with friends.
You've liked her for a year, I'm sure a day or two extra will not cause you too much grief. Good luck with this girl, I hope she goes out with you and you have a great first date.

Um its called a double date? Have your friend bring someone along (even another friend) and invite the girl to go with you! If she likes you back, she won't even care that you took her to go see Transformers with you! (blecch in my opinion haha) and maybe afterwards you can all grab some ice cream or a pizza (or both), talk about the movie and get to know each other a little more, because let's face it, you're not exactly communicating effectively as you're watching robots turn into fighter jets. And, as I always suggest for guys, go easy on the ego! (not necessarily an issue for you, but a problem for many!)...good luck

You could tell your friend that you wanted to do something else and you would let him know by a certain time tomorrow, or you can ask the girl out for a different day if you already told your friend you would go with him.

Mornin date doesn't really sound that romantic but I think you can make it as just hanging out with her. You've got to know her better to know if you really like her. 1 year doesn't make much of a difference. Doesn't mean you know her well.
Get to know her 1st. See what kinda of person she is. Know her favourites...make her happy to be with you. Make her feel safe around you. When she feels she can open up to you, you can start takin her out on a date.
Start simple. Just dinner. Play games. Stuff like that. Have fun 1st. Get serious later. When you feel the time is right, tell her that you like her and SEE of she feels the same way.

Ask her if she wants to go to brunch or to a cafe near you. Just say you want to talk and hang out. It doesnt have to be a date to her, you can just think of it as a date. Then say you had a great time and that we should do it again. Just relax and have fun. You can also go on a date at night since your movie is at 4, go out to dinner at like 8

morning dates are NOT good. unless of course she's a morning person. otherwise ask her out for another day. if you knew you were gonna ask her out you should have just told your friend that if she said no then you would go with him. if shes a good friend then you could invite her along if its cool with your friend. youre kinda in a mess but nothing you cant clean up. good luck!

Just tell your friend that you were going to ask someone out for a date and call her. If she can't go, then you can call your friend and tell him you got shot down (he'll feel bad) and then go to the movies with him!
