I have to agree there is some racism in this country.. in every country for that matter. Unfortunately people are people and not gods. None of us are perfect and we do carry some sin. Racism being one of them, We can only cure that thro understanding of each other. i do not think it is wrong if there is someone you particularly do not like. Not everyone is going to love everyone.. that just is not human nature. The important thing is that we do not hate a whole race because of one person from that race. If i don't like Bill or Mary... and one of them is black and one green... i should not decide to hate all black and green people. I think we must learn ourselves and teach our children... judge the person on who they are, not what they look like. And certainly not on how wealthy or attractive they are either. too much superficiality in this world already

The "white" Mexicans are by and large of Spanish descent, and were the ruling class in days of old. They still have that caste system drummed into their heads, and consider the "Indian Mexicans" and "Aztecas" and such to be the peasant, servant, working class. It isn't that they hate them, per-se, it's more a disrespectful, I'm better than you sort of thing. Much as the European descendants treat the Blacks, Asians and American Indians of the United States, The former white ruling class treated the South Africans, the French treated the people of Southeast Asia, and the Brits treated damned near everyone else, from Ireland to India, to the Carribean. It's just left over caste system discrimination.
Hope this helps.
My own research of historical discrimination of different.""

Actually there is no more and no less racism in the US than there is in any other country. Americans are incredibly generous, warm and welcoming--to people who enter this country through legal and legitimate means.
There is, however, a growing anger and frustration that we are being taken advantage of by criminals who disrespect our laws .....forcing us to spend ungodly sums of monies on education and healthcare for every seeking a handout non-tax paying illegal.

I believe a lot of racism is handed down from generation to generation. But someone needs to put a stop to it in there generation so that it doesn't keep going on forever!

I hate to shoot you down but Hispanic is a culture not a race. There are Hispanics of the white race and Hispanics of the black race. To be of the white race you must be white, to be of the black race you must be black. You all just speak Spanish. Now if you want to talk about racism between whites and blacks , that exists because people are narrow minded and stupid. When it comes to immigration it is not the U.S. citizens fault that 80% is Hispanic. We just want our borders guarded and illegals punished. All illegals, NOT JUST HISPANICS.

There's a difference between racism and being A LOYAL AMERICAN.
When Americans start putting themselves first and the visitors second, there will be far less racism. Blacks and whites agree on that! They speak English!

The conservative-biased media has but one mission: stir up as much hatred, bias, prejudice and bigotry as possible to keep the country divided instead of trying to unify us, which could break the stranglehold Republicans and Democrats have on a monopolistic, obscenely corrupt two-party political system that gives voters no real choices. -RKO- 07/06/07

"America was founded on racism"
I would say Islam is more rooted in racism than all of America.
"America is very very young compared to most countries."
Isn't is wonderful to be the best nation in the world and yet be so young...compared to most countries?
