Going away from brown and earth tones could cause your house to be the neighborhood eyesore by sheer contrast. If that is the case, stick with something natural. Possibly get inspiration from the plants and colors that are in your area.

1] first check to see if your homeowners association has limits on colors you can use.
2] second check other homes to see if there is a combo you really like.
3] make sure your home is not the same colors as the one on either side of you.
IDEAS: [ fir the house and/or the front door ]
beige
caramel
pale terra-cotta [ peach ]
light gold
jade green
aqua
leaf green
Also: keep in mind what you have planned for the yard [ flowers, sidewalks, porch furniture ] when you choose the colors.

What about a soothing, lighter green color? You could get paint samples that closely resemble the roof and brick colors and then match them up with different greens to see which one you like the best.

A pale yellow would contrast nicely with the brown roof.
