What is more important to you.. a best guy and girl friend or a boyfriend? If a guy and girl friend, how much do they usually mean to you? Are they important? How important is a best guyfriend I'm trying to get an idea of how girls view their friends.. especially close ones.. and if they would sacrifice their friendship for a boyfriend... thanks!

People have been sacrificing their friends sense the dawn of time for a boy/girl relationship. When you meet someone you hang around your friends then suddenly it's just you and your boyfriend you don't want anyone tagging along. Slowly but surely your friends are gone.

All relationships are important to me, and I wouldn't sacrifice one for the other. Friends and boyfriends if they both value you know that sometimes they wont like each other, but out of respect for you they should make an effort. Unless the friend or the boyfriend did something wrong to deserve being dumped then I would sacrifice whichever one of them asked me to give up the other... a true friend or loved one wouldn't ask me to give up anyone else who is important to me.

I don't have a big core group of close girl friends. There is a mutual understanding among my friends that when someone is in a relationship that they're going to be spending less time with their friends because they're boyfriend has entered the picture. If I have a friend who has completely shut out all of her friends because of her bf, then I call her on it and set up a lunch date for the two of us. I'm not sure of a time when I have ever had to actually choose between my best friend and boyfriend.

My best friend is a guy. I can talk to him about anything. With a guy friend you don't have to worry about them flirting with your boyfriend or backstabbing you. So I think a best guy and girl friend is the best. UNLESS, you start to fall in love with your best guy/girl friend then things can get complicated if one of you don't want to ruin the friendship or don't feel the same way. My best guy friend means a lot to me and he's really important to me and helps me all the time. So yeah- best guy friend.

i would not sacrifice my best friend for a boyfriend. boyfriends, they come and go, but only a best friend has a chance of lasting forever. AND i know that my two bestest friends in the whole wide world feel the same. I would rather be single for a year than give up a friend.

Personally, a guy friend. But this is not a perfect world in that we can't always have guy friends who don't want something more. I don't mean they'd jump your hump soon as look at you, but I've known many guys who have wanted a chance to be a little closer. A guy friend is also less of a hassle sometimes, I don't _have_ to kiss him(or more), I don't _have_ to be at his every beck and call. Plus, a guy who's just a friend can be a breath of fresh air from girl friends, who can sometimes be down right fake, often for no reason at all. Guys allow a girl just to be her, at her most real, since those who aren't looking for more, are pretty themselves.

I have learned it isn't worth sacrificing anything for a boyfriend. Or a guy friend or a girl friend. Why does anyone have to make sacrifices for friends?
Sacrifice is a very heavy word to me. And as you can tell, I am not a martyr.

Girlfriends & Boyfriends come and go. You rarely find true friends these days, so I would say that I would never sacrifice a friendship for a bf/gf. Who are you going to have to go cry to when you break up if you dump your friendship?

I'm a real flirty girl so, my guy friends are important, but I would lose our friendship in a second for them to be my bf.
