I don't have an infection. I have been on antibiotics twice now. I have had the dizziness for about 4 years now but it gets worse when behind my eyes get a lot of pressure. My eyes seem to jump around and go in and out of focus. I have glasses but I can't wear them because they make me dizzier. Also there is a lot of pressure in the sides of my nose and underneath my eyes.

And also, I have a weird problem where at night I get dizzier. Can sinuses do that too?

yes your sinuses are affecting your equilibrium. You should talk to your dr about something like allegra or sinus steroids, they may want to do a ct scan of your sinuses to be sure they are not to small or to large.

Can Sinus Infection Cause Dizziness

Well going out without a coat won't give you sinus problems. that's an old myth. It wil take time but what i do is take claritin d or the generic. Actually any antihistamine with a decongestant will do. I prefer pseudaphedrine (sudafed) insted of the phenylephrine as a decongestant. As long as you don't have high blood pressure! If you do your kinda screwed. That usually helps me. If it is really bad i alternate dayquil and nyquil ( the ones behind the pharmacy counter have the Pseudaphedrine in it). THat seem to kick it out pretty fast. But the decongestant can cause jittery feelings in some people. It can raise your blood pressure a bit.

Eliminate Vertigo and Dizziness

You could have what they call vertigo. Check with your doctor. You could even have and inner ear infection from your sinus being infected. If you are still having problems then the doctor needs to explore further. I have a chronic sinus problem called sinusitis. Every day I feel dizzy, pressure in my nose and underneath my eyes and above my eyebrows. I also wear glasses and some days that is worse than anything because of the pressure. Have your eyes checked too because they can see if there is anything wrong there too.

This is something I see and hear about alot. When you are congested, mucus is in your sinuses. Sometimes, you can develop fluid in your inner/middle ear, causing dizziness. So it IS possible to be dizzy from sinus trouble, but I would go to your doctor, because dizziness can be a symptoms of something more serious.

This pressure that you are talking about comes from fluid in your sinuses and in your ears. That can almost certainly cause dizziness. You need to take a medication to regulate this. Maybe you have allergies? I would speak to your doctor, and tell him your symptoms so that he can further evaluate your condition.

I have frequent sinus trouble and experience what you go through as well. For my seasonal allergies, when they are bad I am prescribed Flonase and Allegra and that seems to do the trick. I also try to keep my sinuses clear by flushing them out with saline.

Absolutely! Don't forget that your equilibrium is associated with your inner ear. Often sinus problems affect the ears as well. Hope that helps.
