I grew up in a Christian home and it is all about denial. You deny yourself; your dreams, hopes, desires, wishes; all for your "god." You lose a part of yourself. One scripture says less of me, more of him. Why? If he made me the way I am, why would he want me to to then deny all those wonderful things he gave me in the first place? Christianity is all about denial; denying that makes you you for the sake of your deity.

no Christianity is not a form of denial..denial of what by the way? Its a way of life to those who choose (not forced) to acknowledge and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Yes it is in a way. As a christian we must deny our human lusts for the sinful thigs of this world, and turn our lives over to do the will of our Father God.........Not saying we are perfect or expected to be. But we are empowered to do better by the Holy Spirit
