DO you practice what you say? I do not answer any questions, of things I know I am doing, or am trying to stop. I notice a lot of Muslims say a lot of things about islam but don't practice it much. I see Muslim women half-nude and no one seems to capture the real essence of Islam. I AM NO ONE TO JUDGE ANYONE BECAUSE I DO SO MUCH WRONG MYSELF AND HOPE INSHALLAH I WILL BE FORGIVEN AND SHOWN THE RIGHT PATH. AS I AM TRYING MY BEST. But I know so many muslim brothers and sisters who frankly don't give a damn..

What do you think about what I said? Do you agree? How can we make ourselves better Muslims?

I understand where you might be coming from but the thing is, that's exactly why everyone is held accountable for their own deeds. Maybe your just concerned for this umah like I am, but you must understand that only Allah knows a persons heart. How would we know if someone really doesn't care.. maybe they do. As Muslims all we can do is ask Allah to guide others and be good examples ourselves. The women you are talking about, who knows maybe they are great Muslima. I didn't start wearing the hijab till 5 months ago. Everyone goes in their own pace. Instead of finding faults in others, we must try to amplify the good in them. Allah knows Best.

My Allah guide us all to the right path and make us the inhabitants of jannah (ameen).

By being in Gods presence do you become more like Him/or who He wants you to be. And the better you can understand the spirit and the world. Be in Gods presence always and you will not become of this world. That is how you become a better servant of the one

I would also like to add after reading some of these other answers that maybe many of Muslims problem is being too "religious", if you know what I mean. Don't just follow what the book says, but CHASE after God with all your heart and passion! God serves and teaches those who THROW themselves at His feet. Don't just "follow the rules and mean it". With my face on the ground I will say to myself "I am so undeserving! And yet I have lost my passion for you Lord? I am so undeserving! Forgive me!" Because I most often loose my passion HA I MUST BE CRAZY FOR IT forgive me creator!

Saying your salats on time and with an honest heart might help. Try not to be a Muslim in name only but do your best to be a Muslim from the heart.

Islam doesn’t teach us to be prefect ideal person but Islam teach us to do our best and strive our self to approach to the human perfection with putting in our mind that avoiding bad deeds is much better that doing good deeds (that is not wajeb or Must) as Prophet Moahmmed (PBUH) said..
We learn from our sins that we are weak human...we are salves of Allah who need the Forgiveness and Guidance from Allah...

I do practice what I say. I dress modestly, I respect all people and their beliefs and I try to remain patient with those who insult me and my religon. I give to those who need it, I am decent, honest and fair, and I pray like I should. I am far from perfect, but I try hard every day to be the best Muslim I can.

BarakALLAHfeek, Brother.

Ask in order to understand, and do not ask in order to find fault, for surely the ignorant man who wants to learn resembles a man of knowledge, and surely a man of knowledge who wants to be difficult resembles an ignorant man who wants to find fault.

Seeker, that is not a Muslim problem, that's a human problem we all share. It's the root of true humility.
