why do i always want somebody to sit close to me when im sick! why?

To feel secure because we are weak during the moments of sickness.

When you have a fever one of the symptoms is the chills, because you body temperature has risen and the outside environment feels colder than normal by comparison.
As for acting like a baby, that is because we feel like we cannot take care of ourselves

When you have fever, your body temperature is high and and so the temperature outside your body appear cold.

You need somebody near you for protection and security. I do not know how old you are; but when when you become older, this need will become less and less.
