can someone give me an example on how to format drive X in the command prompt?

Windows Xp Pro is what i am running but the basic input method is all i am looking for

Click on Start then Run. Type "cmd" and press return. A DOS window will open. Type in format /? and you will see all the command switch options for the format command. You can probably do this from some windows option but I prefer to use this command window.
