American girls that date foreign guys?

I did hear this from somewhere that I don't remember. It basically says that (may be someone’s observation) girls that go out with foreign guys are mostly have low self esteem. My question is leaving some exceptions out (very handsome etc.) what do you think about the statement above(sincerely)

I tried to analyze the situation and for a foreign guy overcoming the language hurdle (even though being able to fluently expressing ideas, facts and having no problem understanding written and conversational english) is hard. There are many things that you cannot find in grammar books, those background info might be from a popular cartoon, TV star etc. which makes the foreign person not to understand the situation, joke, etc. (Watching That's Seventy's Show, I sometimes do laugh at Fez(thinking that I am one of the other guys in the group) but when I come down to earth I realize that I am the Fez and that makes me feel not too good.) Basically not being able to communicate as good as other guys the foreign guy may not be too competitive.
But also opposite poles might be attracting each other or something different might be more attractive so I believe the claim may not be so realistic. I wanted to hear your opinion on that.

As a world traveler myself I found that it didn`t take much to get in bed with a woman in foreign countries. In fact women would sneak up to my hotel room at night. However at home in America I didn`t do as well.

The answer was simple.
Its called the gene pool. In foreign countries I was attractive because I was exotic compared to the local men they all knew, I offered new genes. So do you. Don`t worry about language, etc. You offer something different and this makes you attractive. There is a good percentage of women that just can`t help themselves they must have these new genes. Just put yourself out there. They want you but will be afraid to come to you. You must go to them and show that your no threat, then they will come to you.
Problems with language is a good intro for you. Asking directions, asking how do you say, asking for a restaurant location these all worked well for me. Many times these women would go way out of their way to help me and I could reward them with dinner and a good time.

Just dress nice, be friendly, be polite and laugh. With a wink, that`s all that matters to them.

Although this is late here it comes: Foreign men are manlier than US men. They also have a more mature attitude regarding a woman's body, and just women in general. The foreign men I have dated been in relationships with treat me better than American men. American men have unrealistic expectations for American women; they also expect us to do everything; and most are extremely uncultured and anymore effeminate. At least in my opinion. I prefer foreign men, American men just don't measure up.

Alright btw im a foreign guy , i read all the comments and im highly agree with the American girls who says why not to date foreign guy because they know very well they are very decent and nice to be with. So why the hell not , im pretty sure that American girls are so open minded ,well educated,nice to be with,very friendly.....etc they are gorgeous, beautiful ,funny and all the characters we are want it to be in a girl.my friends studing in US and all of them have American girls and they like each other so much and chill out together everywhere like best friends. To be honest they are a heaven to be with. :) i dream one day dating American girl hopefully.

I think a part of the whole foreign guy appeal is that it is something different. Different culture, different language, a completely different country!! It's kind of like a learning experience. Plus, accents are hot.

wow! it's funny how people see themselves. i was astounded when i read your question. a language barrier is not the biggest problem here. arrogance is. i find it offensive when anyone talks about a group of people as a whole, or expects that everyone in America should speak only English. we are the only country that, even though we have language classes in schools, don't really feel a foreign language is necessarily important. and on the low self esteem part- i don't agree. i live in the washington dc metro area and i love visiting an area called adams morgan because it is truly a melting pot of language, culture and an opportunity to meet and hang out with people from other countries. you are exotic baby!

Women are attracted to the "different" factor along with a good personality to back it up. Alot of other countries are more open about things than America[at least in society].

But alot of them just odn't understand the cultural backgrounds that the guys come from and are walking on eggshells as not to offend them and not knowing what they expect and required of them since the guys consider such things common knowladge in their countries and don't realize that things aren't the same in America.
Some countries a man can abuse his woman and no one will stop him. That scares alot of women into a place they don't need to be.

i did not read the whole thing but i dont see anything wrong with dating foreign guys it is not because they have low self esteem i would like to date a foreign guy.

your English is a lot better then most of the American girls you will be dating. dont be so hard on yourself.

i dont think a foreign guy has a better or worse chance.
