Jesus could not both reveal who his Heavenly Father is and still be accepted by the Jews of his own time so he kept his Father anonymous, or did he? The comparison between Mark:14:61-62 and Matthew:23:63-64 is only the beginning of the first clue in New Testament scripture that suggests a major difference between "Son of God" and "Son of the Blessed One". I should mention the Title of the book: "Christ In The Immortal Glory Of The All-Wise Father Buddha". Please also note that it is a "spiritual" Father-Son relationship and not a "biological" one as some might have inferred. Jesus told some that they were of their father the devil, certainly not implying a biological relationship but also a spiritual one. Great book for people with an interest in Buddhism and Christianity-- do not miss it.

I seriously doubt that Jesus ever heard of Buddha. It's much more likely that Jesus's spiritual father came from Ancient Egypt, since the Jews lived there for over 400 years before Moses took the 10 Commandments from them.

Hey, thanks for posting a link to the book, but I'm not going to go there. The last time I did that, I ended up with a nasty computer virus. Not that you are going to do that, but I'd rather play it safe.
Anyway, there have actually been more than one Buddha over time, as being Buddha is not a measure of religion, but of becoming ultimately enlightened. Therefore, with enough patience, time, and meditation, pretty much any human on Earth could become a Buddha.
However, if you're referring to "The Buddha" meaning the original guy, then it is not possible for him to have ever met Jesus, let alone fathered him, as that Buddha was born several hundred years before in India.
That being said, there is talk in some religious circles that Jesus did a lot of traveling while a teenager and young adult, learning from people from a lot of different religions. So, it is possible that he was taught by one of the Buddhas of the time. Buddha being Jesus' father though? I doubt it. Spiritual father maybe, but most likely not biological.

I could be wrong, but I think Buddha lived at a different time than Jesus or Mohammed. I also don't think any of them had ever been told about the teachings of the others, but, isn't it remarkable that they teach the same beliefs?

I didn't read your suggested pages, btw.
It's an intriging idea. Some people suggest that Jesus spent part of his young adulthood in India, studying yoga. He could've learned about Buddhism, too, I guess. The teachings of Jesus incorporate the ideas of Right Thinking, Right Actions, Right Livelihood, that sort of thing...

Uh, not sure where you heard that, but GOD is the father of Christ, deffiniatly no buddah, sorry to burst ur bubble, and God beiing the Creator of the entire universe,(uni-single verse-spoken, see the connection?) it is impossible to have a father of the first One in the existance of time.
