I saw a film clip once of some guy jumping off the Eiffel Tower with a set of huge Bat Wings. He may not have intended for it to have such an obvious outcome but everyone else saw it clearly as suicide. That was soooo funny. He had those wings flapping so hard I cried laughing. Sad but so stupid.

againstthewind is thinking of Jim Jones and his followers who moved from the US to an isolated area of Guyana which they named Jonestown. Some committed suicide. Others were murdered.

Cleopatra is up there. The mass suicide at Jones Town was a biggy, too. I remember seeing the all the photographs of the bloated bodies in the tropics.

i dont remeber the name of the place where it happened, it was a massive suicide, a crazy one who acted like a kind of spiritual leader and hundreds of his followers committed suicide, i think it was an island and it happened in the 70´s.
