Yes you can. You need to simmer milk in a pot, then let it cool. That kills any other bacteria. Then mix some plain yogurt in and stir it well. Pour your mix into small cups. Heat the oven to about 175 then shut it off and place yogurt in. Let it stay there over night and it turns into yogurt. Don't stir. This is how i make it. Good eating.

Put moderate warm milk into a covered glass jar at room temperature for about 18 hours to make yogurt. Mix 1/2 tea spoon of new yogurt as starter per jar to make yogurt for next round about 6-9 hours. Cost a dime per cup or a quarter for soy yogurt without carbohydrate or artificial additives. Optional fruits, berries, goji or herbal essence oils depends on favorite.

You are kidding, right? Have you noticed the price of yogurt in the store? It's dirt cheap.
But yes, you can certainly make your own, it takes a bit of doing but if you do it right it is quite good.

Yougurt can't get much cheaper even if it is on sale. But look for sales on it, like at Acme, they quite often have sales for like 8 for a dollar or something like that. Anyway, it is always cheap!!

You're better off buying it than making your own.
