Any collection of nut cases with a nuclear capability is a dangerous thing.
Iran became dangerous while Mr. Carter was President. In the name of 'religious tolerance' his administration helped to oust a relatively benign collection of whackos (The Pahlavi regime) in favor of some dangerous whackos (the Khomeni regime).
They thanked him by eventually attacking and taking over the U.S. Embassy in Teheran. It cost Mr. Carter a second term, and some sixty folks their lives.
Iran hasn't gotten much better, and may have become worse. The Ayatollah Khomeni has died, but several mullahs of his mindset still rule the country. They are propped up by Iran's oil revenues; they would have long since succumbed were it not for the oil.
Now, they turn their efforts towards a 'nuclear solution' -- probably for Israel, first, others, later. I doubt it will work for them, but any time one lets swords fall into the hands of children.....

Iran is going to be in the sights for a good while because we do not want other countries to have nuclear power then we have to deal with them in a more humane manner so it is not a rocket scientist to suggest that iran is increasingly dangerous

Recipe for War (makes one, maybe two good wars) *Only to be attempted by an advanced war-monger.
Ingredients: xenophobia, weapons, human resources, finance, election.
Step One: use the processes of getting elected to Government to begin sowing seeds of doubt in the electorates, about the habits of foreigners and about how they threaten the very existence of the voters. Add plenty of fear.
Step Two: Once elected spread mixture and add further lies about the reasons to go to war, all the while knowing war is good for the economy and especially for you and all your friends and relatives who have interests in energy companies, manufacturing and other war related companies.
Step Three: Create false intelligence records in order to escalate the mix. Allow mixture to simmer over a hot stove for 6 to 12 months.
Step Four: add human resources and weapons and whisk furiously.
End result: vast wealth creation at the expense of many civilian and military lives.

I don't think Iran is dangerous at all. I think our administration is trying to make people afraid of it, as they did with Iraq, to justify a new invasion.
Iran was the first Islamic country to have democracy, to elect its own president. We didn't like him so we had him thrown out and gave Iran the Shah. The Shah was such a bad leader that 25 years later there was a revolution and Iran became an Islamist country. It would never have happened except for our meddling in Iran's politics.
The US is still unhappy about the revolution, so we 'demonize' Iran, we say they're evil and that they are out to get us. In fact it's we who are out to get them.

Condi Rice is not blowing smoke about Iran. Iran is a dangerous place under Ahmadinejad, and war may be the only logical way to resolve the matter. Now is certainly a more practical time, rather than wait until it becomes a nuclear power.

No, not "increasingly" dangerous, they always have been dangerous. Remember the hostage situation of 1979? We've just been ignoring them for years while they've been doing what they want.
I'm not entirely sure what the best tactic would be in dealing with them, but we cannot allow ourselves to show weakness.

I think Iran is supplying aid arms to the insurgents in Iraq otherwise how are they getting sophisticated timing devices and RPG (Rocket propelled grenades)rocket launchers in such vast numbers? not to mention explosives. The borders with Pakistan and Afghanistan are well covered, not so with Iran, it makes one think?

Bush wants to go to war with Iran. He probably has some stupid scheme that he thinks will keep him in office if we are engaged in WW III.
