The Bible does not say.
They brought three gifts, but we are not told how many there were.
And they did not find baby Jesus laying in a manger. By the time the wise guys arrived, Mary and Joseph were living in a house in Bethlehem.

The BIBLE does not say one way or the other at all. The two answers that I have found with people around me are.1.They think it was 3 becouse the scripture says 'they brought gold, frankencents and mher(forgive the spelling I am not sure, but im sure you get the idea.) And jokingly 'Thats how many fit on the stageduring the play.'

. How many magi were there?
Unknown. Matthew 2:1-16 simply uses the plural. We know there were two or more. It is interesting that Christian art from the first centuries of the Church show various numbers of magi, ranging from 2 to 8.

four. It's not widely known but Chuck Norris was there to give Jesus the gift of beard. Jesus loved it so much that he wore it his whole life. The other wise men got so jealous they had his name stricken from the Bible. All three died shortly thereafter due to roundhouse kick related accidents.

Personally, I think the wise men like sheep a little too much, if you know what I mean.
