Thank you, sweetie. Orion is a good friend and a wonderful person. And we can frankly say that about a lot of the people on this forum. He has been in my thoughts and prayers daily. His friends know that the death of his son follows just a few years the death of his wife. He needs all our love and support.
Truly, I think that a lot of us are here for love and support, and many have been fortunate enough to find it. Good friends, wonderful people.
In my spiritual path, we believe that our enemies are our best teachers. I suggest we recognize that all the mean-spirited posts, rants, and trolls mask the suffering of fellow human beings. Let us pray/meditate/ask or whatever your tradition encourages that these people, too, be free of their suffering. Let us join together and free the world from suffering, one person at a time.

Love you both very much.

Amen once you say hurtful words written or spoken you can never take them back. I prayed for Orion. I mourned in a different way for the children I was never able to have. I pray that God gives strength to Orion and I am truly sorry for his/her loss.
You are a good person Pangel. HugsooooooooooooE4G

Every time I see Orion on the boards I actually feel like rushing back to my son's room to see that he's still breathing. I don't know if that's an appropriate response, but the death of his son has made me keenly aware of the precious and fragile life that I've brought into the world.
I want to cry every time I see the picture of Orion holding that little boy and I nearly rip myself apart thinking about what it must be like to lose a child and how I'm going to be scared for the rest of my entire life, scared that I may lose MY child. Being a parent is both beautiful and torturous, but ceasing to be a parent due to the loss of a child must be beyond any horror and misery that I could ever comprehend.
I really have cried for him... and I barely know him. I guess it's because I'm afraid of being in his position and can only imagine a fraction of the pain he must be going through. That sounds incredibly self centered, I know. I feel bad for him because I'm afraid of it happening to MY child and that seems like an inappropriate way to respond. For that I feel ashamed. I can assure you and him that I do feel for him, though. It drives me mad when people I care about are hurting, especially so deeply, and I can't comfort them.
He's a good person. I hope he finds comfort. And that's all I can do, I suppose. Hope.... and tell him that I'm sorry for his loss. It's not enough, but it's all I've got.

isn't it easy to say "I know how you feel"? when in truth there is no way you can really know until you have lost a child.
it is one thing to lose a parent, or sibling, or even a spouse, but a parent should never have to bury a child. it is the hardest thing you can ever go through.
it have been 10 years and i still cry every time that I think about her, and I know that she is in heaven.
and I thing about how much harder it must be for those that do not have that assurance.
I have shared with you how I have that assurance, and that is why i can have an empathy for those that believe differently than i do.

Yes I realize that real people are behind the words and it's kind of scary...(I mean SERIOUSLY scary!) when you think about it because the ranting, raving, perverted trolls are real people that may actually believe in what they type.

that is the thing about the internet.
it lets us type and be alone in our own worlds and we dont have to worry about how others may feel when they read what we type.
but we shoud think and worry about what we type....
you are so right and i hope that everyone sees your question and takes your words to heart......
and I mean everyone, myself included....
