does your cat do this?

Question

i think i have a really odd cat, because, it eats brocolli, rice, curry, bread and a host of other vegitables

of the cat goes though shopping and picks out brocolli over some meat based things

does anyone elses cat do this?

My cat, Jaime, is a strange one as well. You are not alone! Her favorite snack is guacamole Pringles. She will also eat a variety of other chips. As far as greens and vegetables go, she will eat those before meats on occasion. Actually, today she drank the spinach juice that was in the bottom of my bowl, right after she turned down the beef chunks out of the hamburger helper. It is said that greens, especially a type of pet grass, will help with hairballs and other pet maladies. I wouldn't worry that your kitty eats greens, but if it does bother you, simply call your vet and see if they suggest more or less of them, or vitamins.

My cat took a bag of mushrooms witch were right next to meat its just what they like just make sure its healthy for them brocolli is so don't worry its all right

I had a cat once that LOVED corn. I had family over one time for a barbecue and we had corn on the cob. Next thing I know he's dashing across the living room with an entire cob in his mouth he'd just stolen off the dining room table!!! :-0!!

Some cats are weird. My cat likes iceberg lettuce. She hears me when I'm crunching it up and will jump on the counter and steal it out of my hand or off my sandwiches.

Most fruits and veggies aren't bad for them so as long as they are eating, your cat should be fine.

We had one cat who loved pancakes so much, my mom would give her the first one!
Another cat liked anything green - broccoli, spinach, green beans, peas, olives!
My son's cat will eat anything he is eating - including ice cream, and Super Golden Crisp. He also eats Kibbles and Bits [ but he doesn't have any teeth ].

My cats do the exact same things. One of my cats eats salad, and another one loves angel food cake with whip cream.

yeah. all my cats have wierd food preferences. some like veggies so much they wouldn't eat if you served them meat. some even ate fresh veggies and plain bread and plain rice(cooked of course). cats live on instinct. they eat what their body needs. and they have a way of knowing if their food has somethingbad in it.

One of my cats loves spaghetti with marinara sauce and another one goes nuts over sweet potatoes. I think it's perfectly normal. Cats are people too.

Yeah, my cat (Oreo) will nibble at the broccoli when I have a Healthy Choice TV dinner.
The other stuff she doesn't care about -- just the broccoli.

my cat will sometimes get into the bread and eat a hole in the first couple of slices, i learned to put it up where she can't get to it. she also likes a bit of my wife's tomato and lettuce and cottage cheese salad with italian dressing.
