I thumb up the funny and kind.
I thumb down the anyone being mean to Pangel. Period. Or being mean - but trying to be clever in responses to Pangel's questions. If not mean or nice it falls to being helpful or not. Most get neither, as I am not all knowing so can't tell a good answer from a bad one.
As someone noted people protect and/or choose to approve people they know or have something in common with. Usually the sincere love and respect from FatherK, DebraM, and many others that Pangel knows gets a up from me because they are sharing a moment and the "system" rewards people with points - so I give them to people.
If the system deducted points for being mean - I would down thumb more mean responses.
Also - I am strange, but not dangerous.

I didn't see your earlier message but (((((HUGS))))). The reason why I like forum like this is because every question and answer reveals something about the person who has sent it. I have often looked up an individuals profiles, after reading a question or answer. People tend to express/reveal more of what they really believe or think on-line because of the anonymity.
The thumbs up and down total just means that some miserable gits have just been hitting the down button on those members who returned your hug. I am going back to your original question and give a thumbs up to all those that returned a hug, maybe that will even the score a bit.

It may be that the people with more thumbs down have answered questions in a manner that other narrow minded people don't agree with and this is a pathetic attempt at retribution.

You can try "Answer What Askers Like" method or answer them the way they do not understand it . that's what everyone's doin' here . Yea very strange people .
