Actually, many of these stores, whether they be WalMart, Walgreens, or your local grocery store... all use the same photo service, lol. Some of the larger WalMart stores have rented out space to a photo developer, but many still rely on a company that comes by to pick up the photos for developing. And that same route person will also hit the other stores in town, most often.
If you want to break away from your local route, then try Clark, or York photo processing (they operate thru the mail)

Yes I always have problems with Walgreens developing my film so now I just take it the the film place at my groceries store. It's cheaper and the prints come out nice. So my advice is to look for a new place to get your film developed

Nope...I've been using WalMart for over a year now and have never had them mess up an image. Anything that was bad was bad whe I gave it to them.
Is it possible, sure...but I'd think all the images would be bad, not just a few here and there.

If two different processors are giving bad results, I would guess that the problem is in your camera, not the processing. As an experiment, try a cheap disposable camera. that will probably give you consistent results.

The wrong exposure is the the result of developing. It's the result of the photographer.

Try CVS, they usually have someone who will help you, and the photos turn out good.
