i was in an up and down relationship, and during one of the down-times a cute boy approached me in the street and introduced himself! this was, i think, almost a month and a half ago, and since then my boyfriend and i have broken up. he dumped me for good three weeks ago. now i'm curious about the guy from the street, because it's so rare that something like that happens- it seemed like a connection. on the other hand, i've been waiting so i can have some "me time" and make sure i don't jump into a rebound thing. (i'm the kind who is ALWAYS in a relationship and i want to learn some independence). so my question is, is it too late to call this guy, tell him i'm sorry it took so long but that i still want to meet up? and if it's not already too late, how long do you think i could wait before calling him? i still don't know if i'm over my ex and would rather give it a little more time yet....

Give the guy a call, you never know, you could just start as friends and hang out together. Be prepared for the worse though...*laughs* I once did the same thing, called a guy after a month and he was engaged to be married! OOPS! nice knowing ya! Good luck to ya.

Call the guy. Whats the worst that can happen. Either he's in another relationship or he's single and don't worry about the time frame because if he doesn't remember you he will be real curious to know who you are and will want to meet you for a date. You have nothing to loose so GO ON GIRL!

You should call him as soon as possible, he could be the love of your life and don't want to miss that chance. However, when you do met him again start off as friends then let time take it course, if it move on to a relationship then that is great if it stay at a friendship then that is also great. Either way you gain a good friend or good boyfriend, you can't lose :)

I don't think a month and a half ago is too long, but I freely admit things change rapidly from day to day. Still it's worth a shot. I applaud you for waiting until you were legitimately free to pursue another interest before doing so....that's a sign of character and I hope it works out well for you. Good luck.

If I were you, I'd give him a call and get together not as a date, but as friends, and while you are getting over your bf, you can find out more about this guy and become friends, then when you are ready, you guys can date if you think you still want to. I would be honest, and tell him you don't want to rush into anything because you just had a breakup, but want to get to know better.

I know I'm going to sound alot like a mom, because I am one! It is not wise to meet up with someone you just met on the street! Why not stay single a bit and learn to not always be looking for a guy to meet your emotional needs. Be SAFE!

If your not over you ex you will be. Call the other guy to see what is going on with him and start to hang out with him and watch how fast your ex is erased outta your mind.
