God forgave him, so they have to too.

It should "burn" them even more that they are wrong about Creationism. The Christian groups in this country display a stunning ignorance when it comes to facts and reality. They are trained through religious indoctrination to reject or be suspicious of anything that doesn't reinforce their own superstitions. If a creationist "scientist" says something that the Christian right wants to hear, regardless of his credentials or his acceptance among respected scientists, he must be correct. And if anyone tries to debunk or discredit him, they are wrong no matter the evidence. This is required of anyone belonging to a religious sect because the members are forced to discredit and disbelieve anything except what they are being told from trusted authority figures. When people are challenged about religious beliefs, even by a very convincing and accurate argument, they simply deny the truth. Christianity has existed for thousands of years by instilling distrust and doubt among anyone who is a non-believer. That is why religion is so dangerous. And that is why they are so hesitant to accept or believe anything that is damaging to the paper walls they have constructed around themselves.

He's a damn crook, plain and simple.
Remember when Jimmy Swaggert went on tv and cried and said "boo hoo I'm a sinner"? They flocked to him. They sent him EVEN MORE MONEY THAN BEFORE. Its amazing. Know a person by their fruit, people. A crook is a crook, and giving money to a crook is not gonna get you any blessings of God, its only gonna take money out of your wallet. All things in common sense, you know.
But just because the guy is a crook is no reason to doubt the message, right?
Well, theres one problem with that: He is also wrong about his Creation stuff. He says the Bible states this earth is about 6000 years old: THE BIBLE DOES NOT STATE THIS EARTH TO BE 6000 YEARS OLD, NOWHERE DOES IT SAY THAT.
And yes, I am Christian. This Earth, per the Bible, is eons and eons in age, and states there was an entire Earth age BEFORE THIS ONE WE LIVE IN NOW.

I am a Creationist and a Bible believing Christian.
Kent Hovind's web site is still correct about Creation, even though Kent failed miserably in obeying Jesus about paying taxes.
Which one of us are perfect?
Matthew 22:21
They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
Mark 12:17
And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.
Luke 20:25
And he said unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which be Caesar's, and unto God the things which be God's.
I happen to know that Kent got some really bad advice from some really bad lawyers.
Pastor Art
PS: It was 58 counts for Kent, 44 counts for his wife.

creationism is not science
science is when you find data study the data and then come to a conclusion creationism already have the conclusion they have to make the data fit their claims they don't study anything the take thing that other people have found or thought in some cases and say see here the proof they didn't learn the knowledge for them self they take other people knowledge and say it proves their claims even thought it might have been discredited or irrelevant creationism is not science it is a religious belief
sorry about that rant i couldn't take it anymore once again sorry

Didnt you know that the IRS is in the business of protecting scientific endevours???
I hear ya - what a pant load that is. If he was busted for tax evasion, by the US Federal Govt, isnt it obvious to them that the majority of those in power right now are also creationists?? If he is so innocent, why hasnt Bush, Mr. Born again Christian, commuted his sentence?

As ridiculous as I find Hovind and other creationists, I don't follow your logic here. If we found out Einstein was a child molester, that wouldn't change the validity of E=mc^2.
Hovind's criminal record has no bearing on his claims as a creationist. His claims already fail on their own.

I've not made any excuses for Hovind's decisions.
Secondly, Hovind is most definitely not the most famous creation scientist.

Too bad people do dumb things that are totally unrelated to their studies. I swear if the KKK became an atheist society Christians would throw that in the atheists' faces. It's just what we do. Tax fraud has nothing to do with Kent Hovind's studies, and less with creationism.

Al Capone went to prison for tax fraud too. Does that mean the mob isn't real? Cool! And here I thought I had to dodge questions about my heritage for the rest of my life.

I don't have to have someone tell me that a G.O.D. (Guiding Organizing Designing) process exists. The evidence is more clear and easier to understand than the concept of folding a shirt.
The chance theory of how the universe started...the logic....it is completelty ILlogical.
The actions of ONE man shouldn't determine the character and how everyone views a particular group of people.
