I know what my grandpa told me a long time ago.
Evil will abound in the last days.
Is it the last days? I don't know.

Take into account that those religions were mostly cooked up by a handful of primitive Middle Easterners. If it doesn't make sense, consider the source. How much gibberish that comes out of the place today would you believe, and even base your life around? Churches explain the existence of evil with Satan's prescence on the earth. He's second in command here, which opens up another question - if God was all loving, why would he allow the devil to have such control over His creations? If there's nothing he could do about it, that certainly takes the whole "all powerful" thing down a couple of notches.

Well since God probababy has an enormous backlog, cases of rape (in U.S) are handled thru the courts, and say in the last 6yrs. or so, a Travesty in Itself. If The Suspect is like 100% Guilty, i.e. 14 eyewitnesses, INCLUDING JUDGE DREAD, then.. Judge, Jury, Executioner, oops, forget about the "Mental State" of the Guilty individual. lets see... hmmm.howz abour ready/aim/FIRE !! Done Deal.. same for an Obvious Murder(little Girl?) I would suggest the court/stuffed Judge, and the Attys(who mostly are concerned about their Stinkin golf swing and/or dosage amys. of viagra.. or gin.and forget all the posing, song and dance... any way perhaps a speedy resolution like the Guilty one in a Room and have the Father enter, unless the mother strong arms Dad to be 1st to apply Revenge, .. Justice Served in a Swift Manner would bring a small sense of Honor to a Tragedy such as this..... Anyway the reason for my mangling of the Eng. Lang. was to Offer a VERY THOUGHT PROVOKING video/web site about the Origins of Christianity/Religion.. I Dare say this a MUST SEE !! I suggest FF >> to the 7:40 mark, to hear a Take by George Carlin ..about "God" Between the 25:00-37minute mark is the .. well this is some Real Heavy info. I should mention that I was Raised in a Roman Catholic Enviorment, and have Lived by the Rule/Laws of the 10 Commandments( maybe 9 1/2, its that pesky Covet one) PLEASE Access this Site: http://zeitgeistmovie.com/ If You Care about or Love This country America.. I struggle with this question........ I grew up believing the Bible but it's so hard, seeing the way the world is... the world isn't "set up" to point people towards the God of the Bible like it is said to be.... People aren't even given the opportunity to hear about God sometimes, let alone to feel like God loves them.. it doesn't seem fair or just. Yet "God is love." I'd be ok with the suffering in the world if everyone had an equal chance to escape it.

The answer is free will. You seem to think that, because God is indeed all knowing, all powerful, and all loving, we are somehow entitled to an all perfect existance on earth, where every is just peachy-keen. If that was the way is really is supposed to be, why would God bother creating us at all?
God created us because He does love us and want us to worship Him. However, He is not going to force us to worship Him because, again, what would be the point of it all if we were all made robots?
God granted us Free Will, so that we can freely choose to follow Him. Obviously, with the free will to choose comes the free will to reject God - and that is why evil things such as the rape and murder of small innocent children happen. They happen precisely because of people who turn away from God, not towards Him.
God does not will bad things to happen, but He does allow them because in His Grand Scheme of things, exposure to evil helps bring us closer to God.
For example, clearly you think the rape and murder of children is evil. Well, that's what happens when one turns away from God. Doesn't seeing this evil make you want to turn to God? Considering that, unless you do turn to God, you will be no better off than the child rapist/murderer?
Seeing is believing. Sometimes, bearing witness to evil helps make us realize that there is a force of Absolute Good that we can turn to. In fact, if we want to get through this life without succumbing to the temptations of evil, we HAVE to turn to God.
Inspite of the fact God's help is necessary in our lives, we must choose Him. Living a Christian life is hard. Unless one decides for him/herself that they are 100% commited to following God's Way, they will fail. That's why no one can be forced into following God's Way. Anyone who is, will almost certainly fail because their heart is not into God.
Those who follow God understand the nature better than those who do not attend Church or Temple regularly. Read the Bible, especially the Old Testament. Virtually every evil act the human race is capable of is documented in the Bible. The purpose of documenting this evil is to show just how much we need God in this world.
The world has always been in moral chaos. Thanks to the Internet and the 24 hour news cycle, we hear about more evil in less time than ever before. This gives rise to the illusion that humanity is worse than ever. Not that things are good, but I would beg to differ if told that that things are "worse than ever".
The rape and murder of small children takes spot #1 in the long list of evil acts. We do not see the justice given to the victims of these evil acts, because it is not a justice meant to be delivered to us in this world. It is meant for the next, as is the judgment for those who commit these evil acts.

The reason is God's respect for free will. If he made everything perfect then it would not be free because you can not choose to be unperfect. It is only by allowing the imperfect choice and letting people deal with the consequences does God's love shine through because he loves us enough that he will not force us to do his will or even make the best choice and does not wipe the bad choice out of existence. He is all three, he could stop it but then he would still be unloving and he knows exactly what is going on because it breaks his heart.

You are talking like if god was capable of acting in our places! If we are alive its because we are allowed to live our lives, or else, we would only become remote controlled beings. This is not the intention here. The world is as it look to be, as there is black and white in this world, and it has ever been like this since the beginning of time. If bad would not exist, then what will be the purpose of the good side? Anyways, its a relative things, everybody on this earth has a different destiny to live, and it takes every kinds of persons to make a world.
To give you an exemple, I know a person, that has raised itself since he was 9y-old, not father, no mother, making his own shopping, cleaning and maintaining the house for years alone, no government agencies to support him, and everybody in school was beating him because he was so different than everybody else... He was looking to be alone and destined to fall into drugs and criminal activities... But somehow even if he suffered a lot, he got to learn how to survived in this world, and has developed some skills that very few peoples can claim to have, and he never fall into drugs, never fall into criminal activities, he grow alone, educate himself alone, and yet today he live a better life than you and me combined!
This is just to say that we have things to live in order to make this world become a better one, and for this, we must understand the suffering it caused not to have a better world. This world is not finished yet, it remains a lot of things to clean before this world become better... But still if you compare today with 100 years before, it is maybe the first time in human history that humans can lived their life as they intend, instead of surviving...

The "Image of God" is the relationship between a husband and wife, as they two are one flesh. The things we see in the world today are a result of the fall of man, hence sin, and as disgusting as it is, that's what God intended. Sin must become as sinful as it can be so that the full measure of His grace can be made known.

In chapter 5 of Matthew God tells us;
5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. "Blessed are the merciful"
5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Now go back to the old testament book of Deuteronomy;
1:1 These be the words which Moses spake unto all Israel on this side Jordan in the wilderness, in the plain over against the Red sea, between Paran, and Tophel, and Laban, and Hazeroth, and Dizahab.
. . .
2:31 And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have begun to give Sihon and his land before thee: begin to possess, that thou mayest inherit his land.
2:32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.
2:33 And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we smote him, and his sons, and all his people.
2:34 And we took all his cities at that time, and utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every city, we left none to remain:
Jesus tell us that He wants us to be just, and merciful, and to work for peace. But His old man orders Moses to wipe out every man woman and child of tribes who's leaders stand in his way.
I consider myself a Christian in that I believe the world would be a better place if those that claimed to be Christian would do their cherry picking in Matthew's orchard, so to speak.
I also believe that Jesus was a Man. A man with a good message. I believe that the statement "Jesus died for our sins" is misinterpreted. I read it as Jesus died BECAUSE of our sins. Sins that we, ironicaly, continue to commit in his name.

There is a whole field of philosophical/religious scholarship on this very question. So, no, it isn't ignored.
Btw, Catholics are Christian. Perhaps you meant to say Jews, Protestants, Catholics, Orthodox and Muslims? (Although Muslims have the Qur'an.)

The only unforgivable sin is blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. That is refusing to acknowledge the Holy Spirit and accept Christ.
