He is in his 40's and keeps coming to my house for a ride home at 3 in the morning. He was my sons friend until my son moved out and he still keeps coming to our house. I don't think I can put up with it anymore.

He was arrested about half a dozen times but still continues to come to my house for a ride home.

Any Ideas???

A restraining order should do it. Do not answer the door and call the police. Have him arrested then you can get the court order easier. Drunks are unpredictable so by no means confront him.

Give him one warning. If he doesn't leave you alone (no matter how much pleading), tell him that you will call the police. You have been nice in the past, but it's time to cut him off. If he comes back even one more time after your warning, call 911. And tell that guy that. Cops like documentation and tell you to write down times and dates. I have no clue why your son wouldn't speak up to him and say "Leave my mom alone!"

Lock your door and don;t answer it when he knock and call the polices, maybe you will go to court and get a order that if he come back he will be put into jail and it will take him longer to get out. Good luck

Call the police I'm sure they would be willing to give him a ride.

same thing happened to my aunt- she was the "cool" mom that helped her daughters friends and drove for them (while they were underage) and made sure they were safe and let them crash at her house if they had no place to go--- then my cousin went to college and the friends still kept coming to her for help, it got old fast.

no moral to the story, she didnt have the guts to tell them off, hope you do better.

Get a restraining order, large dogs, a security system, and make sure you lock all your doors.

P.S. With the dogs, have a sign that says, "BEWARE OF DOG(S)."

you sound like a very nice person, but you can't allow someone to take advantage of you.Tell him your sorry there is nothing more you can do for him,he will have to find other means of transportation, tell him you would be more than happy to call a cab to come and pick him up.
