about sin. I keep hearing Jesus never said this about that; but Jesus did say unless you believe that I am He you will die in your sins. What sins? He never talked about sins. He said I came to take away the sin of the world. What sin? Am I confused, I thought all the sins Jesus didn't mention came from the OT; those transgression against God. That why He came so that we wouldn't face eternal punishment. What say you.

Ever read the bible ? Romans 3:23 " For all have sinned , and come short of the glory of God ". What is a sin ? Any thing that is contrary to the word ( Law ) of God ( a bad thought , disobedience ,murder , rape, lust , love for money , swearing , you name it we've done a lot of them a lot of times ) There must be a payment for your sin . God will judge the unbeliever and their sins will send them to hell . That is why god came to earth as a human ( Jesus ) To suffer greatly , shed his innocent blood ,and died on the cross to pay for the believers sins . ONLY if you trust and obey and believe in Jesus as your personal savior , your sins will have been payed for . John 3:16..John 3:36

My definition of sin is this: When you do something that you shouldn't have done or when you don't do something you should have done. God says all the sins in the bible. Here are some of the most known: Lust, lie, murder, stealing, adultery, blasphemy, homosexuality, being envious of others. There are alot of sins out there and the bible says that if u admit that you are a sinner and repent and ask for God to come into your life then he will do so. you are confused about why Jesus came. The trinity also known as the triune or three in one (god the father, Jesus the son, and the holy spirit)are all the same. its something no1 on earth will ever understand. anyway God the father cant see sin, be around sin, hear sin, or anything like that. Jesus came and when he died he sort-of made like a shield so god can see us thru Jesus. the holy spirit is kinda our concsionce telling us right from wrong. if we repent and ask the lord to come into our hearts and admit that we are sinners and truly mean it then he will. u still have to admit and ask for forgiveness in order for jesus to take away your sins. once u confess then u will go to heaven and not pay the price of your sins

Think in terms of doing the exact opposite of the ten commandments , that's sinning . Lust is a sin , There is no greater sin than rejecting Jesus . If you read any of the new testament books or just go to the back of the bible where the concordance is and look the word sin up . It will tell you exactly where to go to find what sin is , what type of sin etc etc .... If you read any of the parables that Jesus wrote or listen to him speak of the Beattitudes , you'll get a better understanding .

before Jesus people sacrificed animals because God was so serious about sin that he required the sacrifice of blood from unblemished animals to atone for sin.
Jesus is a perfect Lamb. He was that last sacrifice that was good enough for the whole world. The Messiah, who is Jesus is who the prophets spoke of to set the catives free and to heal peoples transgressions by His wounds and stripes on that cross. So the blood of Jesus allows us to live without being stoned or having to sacrifice animals anymore. So when we die it is not because it is the penalty of sin, no one is stoned anymore. If you die you might die in your sins which means ,due to your sin such as alcohol, drugs, homosexual diseases...but the worse sin is unbelief in Jesus. Anyone who rejects the Son is dead spiritually and under the wrath of God until they repent and accept Jesus. If you were the age before accountability or you were saved by believing in Him, then you die in your physical body when it is time but your soul lives forever in a new body you will receive.
So even though there are consequences to sin whether you are saved or not or at fault or because of other peoples sins, without Jesus you will die and forever be separated from any of His goodness because you had opportunity to repent.
When someone repents and accepts Jesus, He is able to directly ask the Father to forgive his sins and God is faithful and just to cleanse him from all unrighteousness. God lets the unbelievers go on doing their thing in their depraved minds not listening to their prayers. And for every sin they do they will have to answer and be judged for every one of them. When you are judged you will recieve the due penalty of your sins. The Christian will not have to undergo this judgement but passes it and goes to be with God.

That is why Jesus was born.

To take away the sins, which are defined in the Torah, the first books of the Old Testament.

One thing most Jews agreed on in those days was, what is sin.

Except in the cases where the Rabbi's went around making up new laws like the current Roman Catholic Church does.

I say you're on the right track. Sin has always been sin, whether Old Testament or New. You must confess your sins, and accept his forgiveness before He can save you from Hell. I strongly suggest you find either a New International Version Bible or The Word translation, for a more modern point of view (without having been watered-down in the name of tolererance), and read the evidence for yourself. Good luck and I'll be praying that you find the Truth. Jesus loves you!

Sin is an offense against the holy nature of God. We are all born into sin with a sin nature. If your sins are not covered by the blood of Christ, nailed to the cross on calvary, you will die in your sins, that is, your works will be judged, and you will be found wanting. Those who are in Christ are completely forgiven, the work is finished. When we pass into the next world, our sins will not be brought up and are gone, along with our sin nature. Christ died for the sins of His people, the ecclesia, the Church, those who were chosen out of the world by God.

Everybody sins-transgression toward doing good. The spirit seeks and the flesh is weak to sin. I sin and some example of sin are: vulgar language, lust, evil thoughts ect... and for this we must cling to Jesus for help for HE forgives our transgression only if we admit the truth to our sins and repent in prayer.

Sins from the past Jesus came at the right time so our sins can be cleansed. Read more NT to understand. He came for the past and presents sins. He came also to become a bridge between us and God so we can speak to him without a priest. Because Jesus was the Highest priest and Jesus also came for us so that the holy spirit can come as well. :]

I just know that You are responsible for your sins. However If believe in Him. Which means he is a part of you (spiritually) You will not face eternal punishment. If you do what God wants you to do and believe and trust his word enough that you will not abide in sin anymore, you are saved through Him (Jesus). Just know God's word and believe in Jesus and Do everything that God says and you will be saved.
