I mean come on... he's God and he puts this one tree in the garden and says they can't eat from it. So these two are like children and have never been exposed to anything bad so naturally they're curious and after years of looking at that delicious fruit they're going to try it. You don't have to be a member of MENSA to know that was coming. If that movie were in the theater I'd be like, "Pppffffttt... I saw that coming. Low budget!"

So was it a joke, or what? Like man this'll be funny, now there can be wars and stuff like that and Satan can be released upon the world and all sorts of diseases and strife.

Your thoughts?

The creation story says God put a tree in the garden even though he didn't want Adam and Eve to eat from it. This means he created a garden as one big test for people, but people can't test him back. It also means he is not omniscient, because he should have been able to foresee that they would eat the forbidden fruit. An all knowing God wouldn't do tests because he would know the future anyway. If he was all knowing and put the tree there anyway, that means he is not all merciful. That would mean he knows the future yet created the conditions to make original sin and then created people he knows will just end up being tortured forever in his other creation, hell. None of it adds up.

As a teacher of the Scriptures, I get this question several times a week from new students: the tree was NOT PLANTED THERE LIKE YOUR HOUSEPLANTS.
The tree of the K.of good and evil was Satan himself. The fruit that they were not told to partake of was the body of Satan.
Satan "beguiled" Eve, which means to "fully seduce". The "tree" got there of his own means of travel - and, he had a particular reason for going there and for seducing Eve; Satan wanted to pollute that pure line of lineage that thru Eve, down the generations, womb-to-womb, would come the Christ child. Eve had sex with Satan, and Adam participated. This is why when they tied fig leaves together they made aprons to cover their private parts, instead of making masks to cover their mouths if they ate fruit, get it? God told Eve he would multiply her conception: he multiplied it by 2, exactly: Eve was pregnant with twins: one pregnancy, but two separate conceptions:
Abel was Adams son, but Cain was Satans son. This was what all the animosity was between the two brothers. Both brought their offerings to God at the exact same time because they both reached the age of accountability at the exact same time: TWINS.
When Cain was thrown out of the Garden, a mark was placed on him: Ever hear of the mark of the beast? This is the marks beginning, right here on Cain. The mark of his bloodline father, Satan himself.
If you think it could not be possible that Cain was not Adams son, check out Genesis 5:1 for the complete geneology of Adam: you won't find Cain listed there, because Cain was not Adams son; likewise, in Chapter 4, in Cains geneology, you will not find Adam listed, because Adam simply was not the father of Cain.

This is very important information that a person must know if they are to understand most of the rest of the Scriptures. And, I might add that there is no joke in it at all - its deadly serious. This is telling you that there are still decendants of Satan on this Earth today. They even made it thru the flood of Noah. Cains decendants are called "Kenites", which simply means "sons of Cain". Noah was told to take aboard two of every flesh, every race of people. His family were the only "8 living souls" in that they were the only 8 souls onboard of the lineage of Christ, thats all, but there were many other people on the Ark, which is why we still have all the races today.
You will find the Kenites alive and well after the flood, in 1chronicles 2:55. They call themselves "jews", which is a shortend form for "judah", or the Tribe of Judah. There are two ways that you can be a "jew". Either be born of the Tribe of Judah, or else live in the geograpical location of the town of Judea. Bingo!Thats exactly what they did, they lived near Judea, and called themselves jews.
If you look in Revelation Chapter 1, John was told to send a letter to each of 7 churches. The only 2 of those churches that Christ approved of both taught the exact same thing: who are those who say they are jews but who do lie, and are of the synagogue of Satan? Well, the answer is the Kenites. They are the ones who say they are of Judah but do lie: these are the ones who yelled "crucify him!"; They took up any position of authority: they became lawyers, scribes, yes, even priests. You would note when Jesus told the priest in the Temple: "You are of your father, the devil".
How could he have made that more clear?
Yet people read right over it all the time.
Re-read the explanation by Christ of the Parable of the tares in Matthew 13:36 and Christ himself nails it for you. Yes, these
Kenites still exist in the world, and they work day and night at the task of destroying Gods Children and Christianity at every possible turn. You will see them for what they truly are when Antichrist comes: they will be his closest party-members; they are his children. They also in part will make up the locust army of the end-times.
There is alot written in Scripture that people do not understand, because they do not have that strong foundation of truth in what really happened in the Garden of Eden.
What happens when you try to build truth onto a weak foundation? It falls, and thats when you see people thinking that there are
inconsistancies and other "mistakes" in the Word of God. There aren't; just people who have not been taught.

nicely, initially the 'Tree of understanding' replaced into going to be a modern-day alongside with the 'Tree of existence' from Jehovah God. Roman 6:23 regardless of the indisputable fact that, He observed the 'turning of the heart' of devil in direction of self worship. inspite of each thing, the insurrection could desire to of been build up in heaven for a while by ability of devil and not a short-term action. Ezekiel 28:13-15 (devil in the previous inflicting sin in Eden and God's pronouncement of devil's eventual loss of existence!). So God foresaw that a controversy replaced into springing up. regardless of the indisputable fact that, in basic terms using fact God 'can' anticipate does not propose God 'could' anticipate the effects of "each" count. it truly is amazingly obvious that God gave the command to no longer eat from the tree replaced right into a "defend" of what 'could' get up from devil's desire for self rule that replaced into surfacing in heaven. And as devil had supporters for his reason, which you will communicate. Which grew to alter into obtrusive later by ability of the variety of fallen angels (demons) that forsook their place in heaven throughout Noah's Day. God knew that Adam & Eve could additionally probably be targets of devil's plans to rebellion against His Sovereignty. yet, that doesn't propose God chosen to foresee the result on that occasion. fairly, was hoping Adam & Eve could practice unswerving!

I really would like to think that there is some kind of loving God somewhere, but if he exists he seems to be going out of his way to make it hard to believe. He chased Adam and Eve out of paradise for one infraction and appearantly has allowed the devil free reign ever since.Look at human history, it has been an endless succession of wars, pestilence disasters and misery. Where is that loving and forgiving God we read about in the Bible?

God is a righteous God. The tree of knowledge of good and evil represents more than simply a tree. Consider the two trees in the midst of the garden. One the knowledge of good and evil the other the tree of life. These two trees are unlike any trees we know of today. The serpent which spoke unlike the serpents we know today. we must consider that these things represent something spiritually. The tree of knowledge of good and evil God warns Adam in the day you eat of it you shall surely die. The tree of life we understand gives eternal life if they eat of it the will live forever.
Why would a tree that gives knowledge kill Adam? Disobedience to God?
What could these trees represent spiritually?
The two natures of God?
God is both righteous and merciful. could the tree of knowledge of good and evil be God's righteousness and the tree of life be God's mercy?
What does man have that represents God's righteousness?
How does man know good form eveil?
God's law.
What does the tree of life represent God's mercy?
What do we have that represents God's mercy? Jesus Christ.
Jesus said I am the living manna that falls form heaven those who eat of me will never die.
When man ate of the law he could not live up to God's perfect righteousness and in this way the law was death to man
The wages of sin is death.
The law is not evil but good but man could not be perfect and does inherit death.
It is the reason God provided the tree of life that those who had inherited death could through the atonment live forever with God. This story is of man's fall and God's plan of salvation.
The serpent(Satan)did trick man into thinking he could be like God.
The serpent (Satan) did trick man inot thinking he would not surely die..god was not a righteous God that would simply overlook sin.
Man did inherit sin and death and God did provide a tree of life salvation for those who accept the atonement God provides.

The Adam and Eve story was a setup from the beginning. They had forever to sin. If they hadn't sinned, they would still be hanging out there, naked. Then god goes and punishes them for something that was inevitable? What kind of B.S. is that. The bible is full of craziness like that.

You seriously misinterpert God. He knew we would sin and eat the tree before he made us, but he loved us sooo much before he made us therefore he knew he had to send his only son for us. I guess in your opinion God was playing with us but he wasnt -_-

Adam and Eve weren't children, but they had never been exposed to anything bad. They were tricked by the serpent, but both ate of their own accord, and yes, that is what God intended to happen.
