I can understand that.
Try getting a cup of coffee or tea and reading a book in the waiting room. You still might not sleep, but you should be able to relax. And once you get SOMETHING in your stomach, your appetite should wake up just a little.
Good luck to you and your sister.

is there any reason to worry- is she in the ICU or somethin
if she is just being monitored there is nothin really to worry about- the nurses and staff have it covered- this isnt the first of this type of surgery they know how to care for these patients-
i would say go home, take 2 benadryl and go to sleep for a while u will feel a whole lot better-
dont make urself sick bc she will need more help when she gets out of the hospital and will need u more than ever then- if ure sick u cant help her---

You actually still sleep same but cuz you know you got something on your mind you think bout it constant and feel like you drained from lack of sleep, was in hospital with 2 of my children, obviously worried, will be ok in end. Dont worry too much cuz you not in control of what happens anyway, cant do much about it either way. Good luck, sleep well. Sure your sister will. It be better in morning. X

You need to realize that your sister is going to need help and support when she leaves the hospital. She's going to need you a lot more then than she does now. Now, she has nurses and other hospital staff to help her and care for her. Keep that in mind, go home, and get some sleep. If you don't, you're not going to be able to help her when she's released from the hospital. I know it's hard, but if you recognize that you MUST go home and sleep, or you wont' be able to help her later, it should help.

Sounds like you're stressed out & overtired. To begin with- you have to ACCEPT that your Sister is GOING to be ALL RIGHT. She's over the worst of her situation- & now she just needs to recouperate. YOU need to go into a quiet, darkend room somewhere, put on your FAVORITE soft music- & listen to it...-until you fall asleep. Just relax... & realise that everything is going to be fine... :)

If this is bothering you, you should talk to your family. Is sleep more important then your sister?
