Physically the PS3 is a much better system than the 360. the red lights of death?? Hardware design flaw in the 360!! I can fix it in 30 minutes or less though.
PS3 did have some major software issues on the initial release, but since Sony has released patches that have fixed or removed the majority of the bugs. It is worth the additional price, plus it takes a standard laptop hard drive so you can put a 300GB drive in it without voiding the warranty. 360?? got to remove the sticker to do that one... You also get a very high quality Blu ray DVD drive (The whole reason for the delay for this system). That is $180 for the 360 to have.
The controllers are wireless, and contain a lithium ion battery and come with chargers!! that is sweet! much better than $50 a controller and worrying if you have enough batteries.
Online gaming?? Just wait, it is in the works. Also they did not get rid of the capability to bridge systems together so you can have up to 5 other PS3's attach to yours for some truly sick gaming time with your buds.
It rocks, get it. If you are concerned still, wait 6 months when the price drops.
BTW the games that are due in the fall and winter for the PS3 will really show you what this system can do!!!!

My PS3 was manufactured in November, and I haven't had a problem with mine yet. I have had it since early January. Obviously the PS3 isn't costing Sony billions of dollars like the Xbox 360 is toward Microsoft so I think it's safe to say that the PS3 is very reliable.

I have had no issues with mine ever. My friends XBOX 360 has broken twice and he had to send it back twice. Now it barely works. My PS3 has never froze, glitched, or acted strangely and I've had mine since launch. Do not get a 360 it will break before a year. The PS3 will last like 4 or more.

very reliable. A got mine in Nov. of '06 and haven't had a single problem. And I put in some serious gaming sessions; sometimes 10 hours at a clip. The thing is a tank.

For the main area your connection would be large. in case you plug your psthree into the modem, look decrease than community settings for information on your connection potential and status. in the adventure that your ps3 has technical problems, or your modem does, i might advise a instantaneous connection
