I'm shipping this to a very rural part of Idaho, so I want to make sure that the product will still be fresh when it arrives. Also, anyone has any recommendations on what to order?

Omaha Steaks is the best! They are really pretty reasonably priced when you consider the prices you pay in the store, and the quality and the consistency of the Omaha Steaks products. Your food will definitely still be fresh - they use dry ice & a styrofoam cooler to pack your shipment, so it's always cold when it arrives. I have never had a problem, but on the off chance that you did, you just contact customer service & they will replace your shipment. Just make sure someone will be home at some point on the day that it arrives, so that you can unpack the cooler and put your products in the freezer.
That said, my favorites are their Filet Mignons and the Stuffed Sole with Scallops & Crab Meat. If you've never ordered from them before, you might want to get one of thier samplers or combo packages.
Just make sure you use a coupon when you order - you can always find some for $10 or $20 dollars off. And sometimes they kick in free burgers!

The fillets are excellent. To me the best deals are the big combo/sampler packs. I would suggest signing up for thier e-mail list. They send out the best specials to subscibers. Never buy full price, they always have sales! They make awesome gifts. My grandparents are still talking about the steaks we had sent to them!

yeah, i got them for my boyfriend for Christmas. They came frozen in a Styrofoam cooler and ice packs. The stuffed sole was awesome, as for the steaks, it was no better than what i can get at my local farmer's market. Way to overpriced for what you get, if you have a good butcher near home, go with them. **Plus, ever since i ordered the steaks, i have been getting SO much junk mail offers from them, its really crazy!

They shipped mine in dry ice, so they were still perfect when I got them! The filets are always a nice treat, depending on what kind of steaks you like...the strips are also pretty good!

No, but we tried ordering from a company similar to them and the steaks we got were not that impressive looking I am afraid.
