this guy has made a big fuss in my country...that guy was christian and as he wanted to get divorce but his church won't let him so he converted to islam and changed his name and he stayed like that for 3 years....now after his wife is dead he wants to get back to christianity, and he actually had the guts to say that he did that to do what he wants to do and he brought suit to change back his name and religion.....
i think that guy is taking the religions for granted as a way to achieve his goals....

Let's agree first that only Allah can know the real intension of every one of us, no one can discover the real intension of another. So, we can only judge others by their deeds that we can see and don't disagree about.
And for the man you talked about, if we have to judge his deeds you mentioned, so I agree with you that he used religion to reach his goals.
But things are not judged that way, there may be hidden circumstances that we don't know, and also may be the truth is as it appears and as we judge it.
Finally, I agree with you that if the case is as understood, so I prefer him not to join Islam, he may take any other religion but not Islam.

Unfortunately there is people now doesn't understand what's religion. Man can't choose a religion to give him an excuse to do something & when he wants another thing not allowed in his new religon so he converts to another religon!!!
I wonder why this man wants to back to christianity I don't think that he belives in it as he converted from christianity to Islam for 3 years & I am sure also that he belives in Islam, It's all about his own desires.

Why is this guy causing problems between Christians and Muslims? I would think both communities would see this guy for the fool he is and just ignore him. As far as the legalities of the situation that is a government problem and I can tell you with certainty that God does not endorse any government. Lastly all of us will have our book of deeds opened before all on the Last Day so it is best to mind your own book and try to help those you can correct theirs.

If he wants to change his religion again let him. Islam does not force any one to take up any religion. You come on your own free will, and you are free to go tho it is saddening to see one go way from the right path. You are not the maker of his destiny. Let Allah decide for him. But do remember, we have been warned of these monafiqs, Who say they believe yet they keep the lies strong to their heart. Do not keep companions of such men and women who lie themselves. One should not toy around with Islam. The punishment is too great in the after life.

Actress Hala Sidqi did the same thing. She converted to Islam in order to be able to make "khol3" to her husband. After they were divorced, she converted back to Christianity. Who are they deceiving? They did that for a life purpose and not for faith or Islam.

That doesnt make sense so he became muslim for 3 years Then when his wife died he wanted to be a christan again just to get what he wanted. Doesnt realy make sense because if his wife died then how is he gonna get a divorce? I think he was just useing the religon and not exeptng it. Hes probably not religous at all.

seems for me that he does not take any religion serious(ly) enough..
Islam is not a game or a shirt what you can take off or stop.. it is the way of life, the way we should live, according to what Allah (SWT) said because that is the best for us!
what this man did is obviously a sin but must remain between Allah (SWT) and him or he (the man) must take the blame for his behavior (for example, if you commit a sin and other people catch you then you must face with the punishments but the same applies if the delinquent speaks out by himself..) the thing that he said he committed this immoral sin is very disgusting and also punishable. Maybe he wants to be punished and that's why he "came out"?

I don't understand why he felt it necessary. The Catholic church may frown on divorce, but I know Catholics who are divorced and weren't excommunicated for it. I don't know of any other denomination that would excommunicate someone for divorce, though individual churches might, but that's obviously not a concern since he changed religions. I'd say he's a very unsure person about his faith.

He wouldn't be the first. Many, MANY people have used religion to their advantage or as a way of furthering their own goals and interests. Henry VIII started a whole new church just so he could divorce his wives.
