I can't find this in the Bible. It is in the Apostle's Creed. Is it somewhere in the prophets?

Please help me.

Thanks, Grace

Psalms 16:10 is the prophecy and Acts 2:26-27 reports on the fulfillment that Jesus was indeed in hell.
Others here have already explained what hell really is.

Well Grace thats because its not in the bible

He was buried. Was in the grave for three days and three nights and rose again on the third day.

The translators of the King James bible was written a long time ago and some of the words it uses are archaic and had a differant meaning at the time it was written. In England at the time the word "hell" was a place you put your potatoes to keep them during the winter. It was a root cellar, A hole in the ground. If you check the Hebrew and Greek words translated hell you will find that in most places it is referring to a place you put dead people, the grave, In some cases its talking about a place where they burned garbage. The fires were kept going all the time and the stuff that got out to the edges and never burned produced so many maggots that it appeared as if the worm never died.

Hell is the place of the future punishment call "Gehenna" or "Gehenna of fire". This was originally the valley of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the city were cast out and burned; a fit symbol of the wicked and their future destruction.

name Hades or Pluto, the god of the lower regions
Orcus, the nether world, the realm of the dead
later use of this word: the grave, death, hell

King James Word Usage - Total: 11
hell 10, grave 1

The concept of a place of eternal torment as a place of punishment for sinners is a pure work of fiction and the Mainstream Christians concepts of it come from Dante's Inferno which is not a fact book but a fiction book.

Clearly the punishment for sinners is the second death after the judgement per Revelation.

The Apostles Creed like so much of the early "church fathers" writings are a perverted gospel. One need to make sure that things they find in these ancient writings match up with scripture.

The only place that they could possibily refer to him going to "hell" is in Eph 4:9 which is a total mis intepretation of what it is saying.

That Yahshua went to hell is pure fantasy since the place does not exist.

Hell is the Greek word for mankind's common grave.
So yes, for parts of 3 days, Jesus was in hell, or the grave.
And it was here, in the grave, that Jehovah, Jesus father, Resurrected him to his heavenly life.

Some(Catholics) interpret Jesus as going to hell but in the scriptures Jesus gave up his spirit upon the cross John 19:30. So He appears as a spirit to his disciples and remained until they(witness and believed) in his resurrection. So Jesus never entered hell after his death.

Hell= the common grave of mankind.
Yes, Jesus died he went to his grave
for parts of 3 days, then was resurrected.
Hell as a place of fiery torment is a lie.
Going to heaven when u die is also, a lie.
If we die and go immediately to heaven....
what's the purpose of the resurrection?
And Jesus was resurrected.
1 Thess. 4:13,14.

Hell is the grave, Yes Jesus was in the grave, He also suffered the separation from his Father. Which killed him, he died of a broken heart.
BUT, He was raised up, He lives and ever stands to intercede for us.

Nope not in there. Think about this. When Jesus was on the cross with the two dying beside Him, one accepted Him and one rejected; The one that recieved Christ was promised that today you would be with me in paradise. (no time to descend to hell there...)

When Jesus died, he was resurrected as a spirit creature in heaven.

No! When Jesus hung on the cross, his last words were, "It is finished." There was nothing else to do or go other than to return to HIs Heavenly Father.
