this is something that i really want to do. i am going to major in kenesiology so that i can be a fitness trainer.

It is not required that you have a degree in anything to be a fitness trainer, but you do have to undergo certification.

To be a good/great trainer, I think going the route you are (getting your degree in kinesiology) will only boost your career and make you more profitable and promotable. It will increase your knowledge of the human body and proper functions.

a degree is certainly helpful depending on what you actually want to do in the field. you will definitely earn a lot more $ down the road with a degree as there are many certs that just aren't credible (such as any that can be obtained in several weeks).

no you dont i did a personal trainer/gym trainer course last year
