I don't believe in God, so that kind of puts and end to God's illegitimate son.
I also do not believe that Jesus ever existed as a man, the scanty claims simply do not support his existence.
Romulus and Remus are more likely to be real.

Some think jesus was not the son of god, but just a teacher.

I think jesus is a myth and never was alive to begin with. A reformed jewish cult combined the story of mithras with the stories about those many heretics who were persecuted by the romans and jewish leaders.

I guess some people believe he never physically existed and some say he did but he wasn't divine. I think a man named Jesus lived on earth and preached, but he was not divine.

There is no definitive proof that a man who resembled that existed. There is 0 proof that anyone named Jesus existed during that time.

I strongly suspect that the guy existed.
But that would have been 2000 years ago, and he's obviously long dead.

Christians talk as though the guy is still here _after 2000 years_, and they pretend there's nothing freaking nuts about talking that way.

There is a little of both.

I don't say he didn't exist, but I don't think he was anything special either. He probably was a real person, but it is a very weak case and there are plenty who find the evidence less than convincing.

The reason for his death was because no one believed he was the son of god.
