pjerry2: Yes it is an obvious statement, but you need to look at what the ramifications of the statement are implying. Ones religion that is supposedly God's divine truth is a random fluke of where you happened to born into and nothing more, yet people base their whole belief system on it

especially if you refer to your family dwelling as a geographical unit, then you can apply your statement to countries where there are people of many faiths (or no faiths) living side by side.
personally i remember the entire school chasing me and almost crucifying me when i said "i dont need jesus in my life" or something to that effect (i was 11, so i dont remember the exact words)

And none of them grasp a true sense of God, whoever He actually is. Religions are created and administered by people who are innately fallibile, so too then are their creations and actions. Does that discredit all about them?

I'm from Iraq and I'm a Catholic.
So... he doesn't really prove anything here.
The Middle East was once mostly Christian, anyway, thanks to the Babylonian and Roman influences around it. Muhammad came to the Middle East, which is why now it is mostly a Muslim culture there.

Largely true, unfortunately. Too many people are afraid to look beyond their own religion, usually because their own religion forbids it as "evil".
