Before anyone starts getting angry, I don't mean to offend anyone at all. I'm just simply wondering why it's so hard for some people to stay thin, or at least not too fat.
I mean, I excercise all the time. Every day. I do a quik workout every morning, and one at night. I tend to skimp on food. I often skip breakfast (if there's nothing good), sometimes lunch also, and I just pretty much eat something around the late afternoon, or a couple of snacks every day. And I don't even try to eat health food. I tend to eat some junk food (even too much sometimes), and yet I don't get fat at all.
So how hard is it to just excercise everyday (even a simple jog, few sit-ups), eat less (the less you eat, the more you don't miss), and just do it all the time. It seems easy to me. I don't get why fat people can't do that.

In this country is mainly due to fast food and the availability of it all hours of the day. Here we have every comfort imaginable. And what comforts some do not have they make up by turning to food. There are other vices far worse than food. Exercise. Another story. We have become lazy. In many ways. Physical activity 20 years ago far surpasses what we do now. Is entirely up to the individual to be aware of the lifestyle they lead. No one wants to be fat. It takes determination and perseverance to succeed in losing weight. You either are willing to invest time in yourself or you are not. Any lifestyle change takes time. This is definitely one for the better. Great question.

Because just like there is tall and short, good and bad and so on there is also fat and thin. However i do agree with you that overweight people should try exercise and lose weight. if i was a fat person i would defenatly do something about it, not because i wana make people happy but i like to be healthy and live long. But you can't judge fat people that they are lazy and dont exercise because some do try, but they have always been big since childhood and so they big even if they dont eat that much.

Some people are lazy and don't excercise at all and eat junk food at the same time. Even though being obese isnt a good thing being anorexic is just as bad. I think people should have a balance and not skip meals eat plenty of fruit and veg and excercise.

Bad foods and eating too much of it. Thats it. 100 years ago we did not have the same % of fat people in society. Since processed foods, candy, soda, fast food, etc., have all taken over the normal daily diets. These people most of the time don't know any better than to eat this garbage, and are in denial of their fattiness.
Its really disgusting, imo. Some people actually *want* to be fat. Check out these creeps below, these "fat feeders"

Being fat isn't just a physical thing, its an emotional issue as well. I think most people don't realize they're gaining weight till it gets to a point that the can't believe things get so out of hand. Especially when you've been chubby all of your life, its hard to not be fat cause you don't know anything else.

First, you are probably being as or more unhealthy then the "fat" people. Skipping breakfast and sometimes lunch is not good for your body. The less food you eat, the more fat your body stores because fat is what gives the body bursts of energy. Second, who are you to judge the ability of losing weight in different people? You are certainly no fitness trainer or nutritionist.
Peoples bodies work differently. Some overweight people have medical conditions that make them not be able to exercise or lose weight. Some people how eating disorders (yes, they go for "fat" people too), and some people like their bodies the way they are and don't want to change.
We live in a free country and if people want to be lazy and not workout, that's their right. You may have this pompous, better than everyone attitude, but you have no right to think that what you are doing is what everyone should be doing. I would never follow your regiment. I actually eat healthy and train my body to be fit and healthy.

Assuming that there are not health reasons for the size, my personal opinion is that getting fat is a choice each us makes. With my 550 plus pounds, I made the choice to be vary fat and added over 300 poiunds in 15 years.

Geez, you must be young. Well little boy, when you get old enough you will eventually take a class called Biology. In it you may find out many of the millions of reasons there are fat people. Diet and exercise are not the only two reasons! Really! I have no idea what it is like to be fat bit I'll tell you one thing, I ate, worked, and exercised just as much as my siblings, one of them is very overweight and I am not. There are biological reasons for this, reasons born into my sibling which often lead to psychological reasons. It wont be hard at all to find professional medical reasons such as thyroid complications on the Internet. I'm sure this question will offend quite a few people. Also your diet consists of severe malnutrition. If you want to grow up to be a healthy man you better start to supplement your breakfast with at least a Flintstone vitamin and a glass of milk. It will do wonders for the thought process and it can help you get big muscles one day, like mine!

The problem is that society is accepting the fact that americans are getting fatter. Clothes, tv shows, food portions and even cars are now accomidating them. People are convincing themselves that it is normal for their kid to be large "it is just baby fat" when it is just that kids don't go outside anymore. The schools that once had PE everyday have cut back to once a week. People are just lazy in general.

I understand your question but you have to think of peoples lives some people work two jobs and truly do not have time to do all they can do to stay fit. BUT eating and all of the temptations that there are in our society is hard for people to just say no it is kinda like peer pressure to drugs but it is your self that you need to say no to. I am not really fat but a good 10 lbs over weight and have been trying to loose weight for a long time and when i don't loose any i just loose heart and go back to my old ways. I am just trying to say that it all depends on the persons life style to say it is really easy to do all the things that you do
