"I’ve never understood how God could expect his creatures to pick the one true religion by faith – it strikes me as a sloppy way to run a universe."

Another good laugh and another well thought out and deserving criticism of god's inept design ability... God wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed in all respects, was he?

What a shame, why didn't God get Robert Heinlein to run things. He seems to think he could do a better job. Need I say...disagree.

If Mr Heinlein had been paying attention he would have noticed that God sent His Son. His Son established a Church and made it all very clear. Seems very straight forward to me. The quote just shows that Mr Henlein missed the point and sadly he is not alone.

Cheers :-)

Totally disagree. There is nothing sloppy about God. The sloppiness was in Robert A. Hinlein's perception of his creator.

Strongly disagree. He isn't trying to run the earth (thats why we have a free will). If God wanted to run the world we would be doing everything exactly the way God wanted them to be, so obviously this is incorrect. Wha seems sloppy is to deny God so that you never get to see the Kingdom of Heaven.

If you ask God he will help you find his church. The spirit will tell you it is true and logic will help you to confirm it. Faith in christ, though, is the necessary first step. It is not sloppy if you understand that this is an eternal law that is hard to comprehend, but necessary.

I have to agree with it.

One thing I've always found interesting, people tend to appreciate diversity in everything but religion. Why would anyone think such a diversity on this planet could adhere to any given system of belief?

I definately agree. As a result, we have a whole truck-load of religions.

No I don't agree with that quote because God knows everything past present and future and he knows what is going to happen.
