It may come as a true surprise to both
you and may other people to discover
that the 'BET' cable network station
(just like that of the Latino-focused networks
-- such as 'Telemundo', 'Univision' etc.)
IS actually owned, operated and controlled
by a largely WHITE-OWNED company
(this ‘ownership’ includes the majority of
the stockholders and board of directors);
some of it's largest subscribers are
*non*-‘blacks’; and that a huge number
of 'black' people have openly protested
it's existence and programming for years
(largely due to it's offensive videos and it’s
perpetuation of racist-stereotypes, etc.).
Many years ago the network actually was
owned by an 'black' man -- (who was
said to have started it as an ‘educational’
network in order to educate and encourage
the ‘black’ youth to seek to better their lives)
– but once he died, it was taken over by a
White corporation which totally changed
its’ original goal and a great deal of it’s
programs (such as the ‘youth’ shows, etc.)
After that, it lost a large percentage of it's
'black' audience and it began pandering
to the racist stereotyping of ‘black’ people
(in an apparent attempt to boost ratings).
Since the majority of it’s viewers today
are *non*-'black' and since most people,
mistakenly assume and believe that
’BET’ it is a 'black'-owned network
(when, in reality, it – much like “rap” and
“hip-hop” -- IS actually WHITE-'OWNED')
outside of the 'black' protests against it –
very little seems to be being done openly
about changing it; and / or removing it
or any of the offensive programming on it.

Why would you want a girl who wants trashy thugs? If you want to change your community, there is only one way and one person that can do it.JESUS CHRIST.Get right with HIM preach the gospel the Apostles originally preached,(Acts 2:38), and get filled with HIS SPIRIT, you WILL have power then.GOD has done so much for me, delivered me from manic depression, healed me of migraines, back injuries tooth aches.Anyone can have that kind of power with GOD.It just takes obedience to the gospel being filled with HIS SPIRIT and walking in the SPIRIT.Living HOLY.You want to see changes, here is your chance.Visit a United Pentecostal church sometime, you won't be sorry. You can thank Holly Wood for the stereo types the young black girls love.By the way, some black girls have asked on here where all the good black men are, all they see are thugs players etc.

I comprehend your affliction .I went to a ghetto core university final yr and fifty six% youngsters have been failing .The boys favored to battle women, they fought always, the academics performed favorites, the lads smoked weed in the toilet. Ileft the university for the reason that I not ever went to this sort of university as that . Al the university I've been to were civilized ,instructing ,and satisfying. But the seize is the colleges have been majority white. You cannot repair the bull for the reason that they do not desire to difference. No you may inform me that I'm a sale out for what I simply stated for the reason that I no who I am ,and I've all my lifestyles within the hood and I understand first hand what is going on.But now not all african -american citizens are hoodrats and ignorant. Its simply that the entire negativity overshadows the possitivity.

I totally agree with u, to me its a turn off. I personally don't like the thug look. it is a major problem in other communities. But it is not talked about or looked down as much as the others. it is a shame that we as a black race, don 't bother to look further than sports or rapping. we just need to open our eyes and take a step back !!!!!. saying all that i honestly don't know what to suggest . but u are so true with all that u said. We just all need to wake up.

ok so you're not "black" enough. who told you that? a walking stereotype, dont worry about what people say to you.
all my life people have made disparraging comments about the way i speak, act, and even think most days i am a mixture of valley, ghetto, and boring (smart).
WHO CARES!! do you. when you are comfortable within your own skin, you will attract people no matter who they are that enjoy your positive vibe.
