And we found out that all religion on Earth is nothing more than myth. Would that change you from being the kind of person that you are today? If you were a true devout loving Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddist, etc...would you stop being so loving?
this question is not intened to offend, just curious of what people would do when faced with this situation.
thanks

Based on physical evidence and history, religion as it relates to a higher authority, is obviously based on myth. Religion was only establish as a way to control the masses not as a moral barometer.
Ask yourself this "If there was no religion would the Christians have killed so many people in the name of Jesus for their king or would Muslims continue to kill the Innocent in the name of Allah for their leaders?

All scientific research to date regarding these topics has supported evolution and the big bang. Scientifically these are the best answers we have. The problem comes when people can't find a way to live with that fact and still find a place for a god. Faith and science are 2 different things, you should be able to believe in your god and understand scientific research. The Catholic church has found ways to live with both of these, why can't yours?
As to your actual question, considering the number of very nice, polite, and loving athiests I've met, if what you're asking ever occured (and I'd say that most fundamentalist Christians would continue to doubt any science) people would still be kind to each other.

Dude...
We HAVE evidence of evolution and the big bang... otherwise they wouldn't be theories.
Microevolution is an observable fact. Macroevolution just takes a little logical thought, realizing that such little changes accumulate over time and equal big changes.
So to answer your question, obviously not.

People are who they are. Anyone who believes that they love people and care about people just because of their religious beliefs is fooling themselves. If that's the only reason you love and care about people, what's the point? I am who and what I am. That wouldn't change if I found out everything I believe is a lie. I'd be pissed, yes, but I'd go on being me because in the end I can't be anyone else. The same goes for anyone.

Faith is not solely about 'knowing' it happened. there is also a whole host of other parts of it to look at and when a religion comes under threat like this, people will ignore the logic behind any argument as their religion makes them feel safe and secure

We already have loads of evidence of evolution. Which has no effect at all on religion. Except of course those who misinterpret the Bible to contradict objective reality.

I believe that religion is just myth. It makes me think of something Lewis Black once said;
"When someone tries to convince me that the earth was created in 7 days, I reach into my pocket for my fossil and say... FOSSIL!"

The evidence already exists. All religions are myths. Nobody changes nothing.

Those religions have to be able to stand on their own merits independent of evolution and they cant. I would say we are already there in a sense

I'm not being rude but seriously don't you think that if evolution was true monkeys or whatever would already be evolving right in front of our eyes how come it's not? I know that God isn't a myth so i don't think about it, prayer and getting close to God has helped me in my life as a christian, a wife, & mother and he is still working on me. I know he's in my heart.
