Recently a Christian friend of mine (I am also a Christian) pointed out that Saturday may very well be the end of the world. It's 7-7-07 and 7 is considered the number of perfection and is used many times in the Bible, as is 3 and 7-7-07 is 7 3 times. Also, it falls on a Saturday, which is the Sabbath day in the Jewish faith. He is pondering if this is just a really cool coincidence or perhaps the day Jesus will return since it seems to be the perfect day to do so. I'm just waiting for the day to get here and wondering if it really will be the day. Just looking for personal opinions on this. Go crazy!

Stop playing with numbers. That's what folks from the dark side do. Better to read your bible. To wit ...

Jesus says in Matthew 24:34 the generation being born when we began to see the End Times signs would still be alive when He returned.

The first sign was the establishment of the state of Israel on May 15, 1948 prophecied in Ezekiel 36-37, Isaiah 11:10-11, Amos 9:11-15, and other places.

Since a Biblical lifetime is about 70 years (Psalm 90:10) we can expect to see all the end times prophecies fulfilled very soon, starting with the rapture.

If you study prophecy you will find that the rapture of the Church is the next event to come. When ever Isreal starts talking about signing a 7 year peace treaty the rapture will upon us. The Temple has to be rebuilt also. Keep an eye on the events and happenings in Isreal, this is our time piece. This will unfold the events in order for you. So no 07/07/07 is not the end.

I don't think that is the day, because there are still some things to be fulfilled, if you read the Bible. But we should live so that we are ready for Him whenever he comes, even if it would be 7-7-07.

No, I really don't. If that was how it worked, it could have ended in 1907 or 1807, etc. Since the beginning of Christianity people have thought the world was ending soon. It says in the Bible that no one knows the day or hour. It could be tomorrow, but it could also happen 5 billion years from now.

No it will not be the day, in fact any real Christian would know that Jesus really frowned on people making doomsday predictions. Also people have been making these predictions since the apostolic era, and none have come true. Also much of revelation had to do with the reign of the Roman Emperor Nero, and not so much with the apocalypse.

Ha, no. God wouldn't make it that obvious. He's not like the terrorists picking 9/11 which stood for 911. Some end time prophecies haven't been fullfilled yet. Don't worry. I think you'll live to see Sunday.

Anything's possible, but I ain't gonna bet on it. Besides, there's things I'd really like to do before the rapture, like get married and have a family. But, if that's when He's coming back, then I'm glad to go. Couldn't be too soon, and I'd have no regrets of what got left behind.
