I really dont understand. It seems like religion is something that should of died a couple of hundred years ago. I mean most churches brainwash there members into believing what they want them to know and to also donate large amounts of money.

Religion is also responsible for millions of deaths around the world over time and also mass suffering. In todays society people fight over who's religion is better and it divides us. I believe in god but I think people should create a personal relationship with god and not fight with each other over who's religion is best.

Religion divides familys, ruins relationship, hinders friendships and just creates narrow minded people. It is really hard to believe that some people here say evolution is false and actually believe that all life just appeared out of the blue one day. Evolution is evident all around us. I am really shocked religion still exists and I wish it would die off. I am tired of religious nuts and being judged on religion.

Dude i'm just gonna give you a simple answer because what you said are a bunch of slogans put together.Everything can be a double edged sword.Christianity is what gives me goal in life and having a goal is a human right in my opinion don't you agree? But anyways assuming what you say is true then why don't we get rid of intimate relationships?I mean ALOT of people get emotionaly hurt over those and lot's of people kill over that too.By the way evolution has no effect on my faith.

No that's just stereotypical it's a few bad seeds who do it in the name of the religion. Religions are a structure of beliefs and most of them are not for killing someone because they're different or starting wars. It's for their inner peace their relationship with God. I personally believe that in order to understand the beliefs of another religion is to read their books and get to know their beliefs.
Understanding of their beliefs would mean more acceptance and better knowledge of what their beliefs are. Not everyone tithes or gives money to the churches they go to. If you're truly friends with a person it doesn't matter about religion, it's the ignorant believers who destroy families and that's probably a select few, and if you think it ruins relationships it helps create them with others who have similar beliefs, it also helps people who have been in a hard place in life to have their beliefs.

I know how you feel. Im very religious and I agree with you, but not that it should die off. I know people are crazy and try to force their beliefs on one another. People think that what they believe is right and nothing else. I think if people would stop caring if people are going to their hell everything would be okay. I just dont understand some people. Religion will really never die because of those religious nuts. Im faithful but I respect the beliefs of others as well. I dont think everyone whose not my religion will go to hell and as a matter of fact I dont even believe in hell. People like me and you will just have to wait and just try to avoid the super religious psychos out there.

I feel there is nothing wrong with anyone believing in a higher power. It sounds to me that you may be fed up with organized religion, which many of us are. Someone organizes it, then someone blows it out of proportion and then people follow it.

God, Allah, whomever people believe in, didn't create the organization. They created the being and gave them the tools to do whatever they felt best to do with the religion. Believing has so much more to do with life and living than it has to do with money. We have allowed it to become about giving money and in death to the harmless than in just believing that a higher power does exist.
Its up to the people to decide what is true and not true when it comes to religion and allowing it to control economies, wars, countries and worlds. Keep lines of communication open. Accept that there are people out there that believe that organized religion will save the world. This will enable you to see more clearly that there are many different ways to go about solving a problem, and better enable you to help advocate your thought that cynicism works.

By the way, you are not wrong, I feel. Religion needs an overhaul. BUT, so does the fact that money makes the world go 'round. How would you solve that one?

Because, thank God, we still have God in
the World, thats why.
Jesus Christ only allows in this generation what is planned for each soul to give them just enough rope to hang themselves if thats what they wish to do.....
But make no mistake about the fact that He is in control, and nobody is going to ever take Christianity completely out of the World, because Christ just happens to want it IN the World. You can whine all ya want,
but all you'll be doing is making your little
'ol blood pressure go up.
Religion (by the way I am a Christian, but non-denominational, so I don't really care for the Church systems) but Religion is
not responsible for millions of deaths, its people who murder using religion as their
reason for it, thats all.
Religion does not divide families nor does it tear them apart: family is the one main focus of Christianity: its a God-given sacrament for a man and a woman to come together as one and have a family. You must be mistaking the gay agenda - they are the ones who are destroying the family unit, and they work at the task day and night, and they will pay for it one day.
Almost every single thing you have written is complete and utter nonsense so I will just stop here.
If Christ wants Christianity to be present here, it's gonna be, so forget all your goofy
and unfounded garbage. Do you have even one example of Christ being to blame for a couple breaking up, or a friendship being broken, or any other relationship being destroyed? You don't because there aren't any. Be happy that these "religious nuts" you speak against are the only anchors to
this world keeping itself at least somewhat grounded, or God only knows what you'll be doing next: probably marrying your great
dane or something.

I doubt seriously that a belief in God or a higher being will ever go away, and personally I think that is a good thing. Many people like to know there are boundaries to behavior, and without them, anarchy could easily ensue. While I believe the theory of evolution has many good points, it's biggest hole is how did life begin, which it obviously cannot answer.

Since there is still a God there will remain religion. Religion is man reaching to God, were as spirituality is God having a relationship to us. All the problems man has is because of ourselves, even on a personal level. All the wars and killings are mans plan, God just wants the best for us. He sent his Son to die for us, not because of any other reason but to become intimate with him, and save ourselves from ourselves.

i totally disagree with u.... religion is what life is all about.. how do u live ur life without believing in somehting greater than u ... without beliveing that someone is controling this universe.. and u say that religiong divides families? not in mine.. im a muslim... and islam puts the family first... look at us arabs... we are so closely related to our families.. because our religion asks us too... i think u are just seeing the glass half empty thats all..
its true that people are fighting over religions and all.. but that can never be stopped... its been here since the birth of all religions... but its not the religions fault.. its the people's fault... i personally think that what i do with my religion and how i practice it is something between God and me.. thats it... but i totally disagree with u when u say that u wish religion would die off!!! i wish i die before i saw that.. i live for my religion.. for worshipping God.. and following the saying of the prophet mohammed... and i believe that God created all that is aorund is... and i believe that God gave me all the blessings i have.. and i thank God everyday for being a muslim.. for following a religion.. for knowing that there is someone bigger and greater than us behind all of this universe.. it makes me feel in peace....

i believe in GOD, but i also believe organized religion is the opiate of the masses. i knew a guy 1ce that tried to tell me that the bible explained all about the dinosaurs. I listened to what he had to say, and afterwards realized he was interpreting it the way he wanted it to be. I tried reading the bible once, stopped halfway thru because i found it becoming more & more contridictory the more i read.

Because God is still out there, If I just happen to learn for myself he doesn't exist, you will be the first one to know, but, Im pretty sure he exists. Besides, who likes to think we came from Bigfoot anyway, so to hell with evolution. I believe in God, thats religion, my religion. You say you believe in God, but you are "shocked" that religion still exists, wouldn't those statements contradict each other? By the way, all life came together in 6 days, not one, get it right next time.
