Have any of you experienced changes in your menstrual cycle after having a baby and getting your cycle back? I used to be every 31-34 days, and now 2 years after having my daughter my cycles are every 26-28 days. I was wondering if having a baby can change this, or if it's just changing as I get a little older (I'm 28). Thank you.

I have 5 children. My cycle and flow changed with each one. I originally had a long cycle similar to yours, lasting 8-10 days, with heavy flow the first half or so. After the first baby, the cycle shortened by a couple of days, with lighter flow. I was happy with that, then #2 started the heavy flow again. After the last one, I got lucky, my cycle shortened to near normal, the flow didn't last so long and was lighter.

I wouldn't guess that you're old enough for the changes to be because of age.

It could be either. I had my second child at 34 years old. Always before that my cycles were extremely irregular, anywhere from every 21 days to every 5 or 6 months!! From eh time he was 6 weeks old even though I was exclusively breastfeeding they were like clockwork every 4 weeks.

After I had my daughter my periods finally became regular. Before that they came every 14-21 days and lasted 8 days. They were heavy and painful. I became anemic.

Then they were normal. I just had my second and I am very curios to see how it turns out this time.

I had unusual cycles formerly I had my son. We even had to bypass by using a fertility expert to get pregnant with him. After having my son i did no longer have a era for 5 months (i became nursing) & then it got here on it incredibly is own. i became standard after that & even have been given pg returned on my very own. It became a comprehensive marvel via fact we weren't attempting & we had such problem conceiving the 1st time. My sons would be 18 months aside whilst infant #2 arrives in 4 months. I’ve heard diverse comments of females in basic terms like myself that have had problem conceiving & then whilst they have their first infant, they get pg returned with ease afterwards & their cycles are unexpectedly wide-spread.
