I have tried everything as well. But I finally found something thats works.

CLEAN AND CLEAR BLACKHEAD CLEARING SCRUB

Use it in the morning and at night. In a week I could see a big difference. It is also helping to heal the old acne scars. It has the same active ingredient as Proactive Gentle Formula without the irritation.

Q: Can I beat Acne?
A: It won't happen overnight, but yes, you can and we've got solutions to help get the breakout cycle under control. Nearly 17 million people in the US suffer from acne—and you'll be relieved to hear they're not all in high school (we're suffering from breakouts around our chin and jaw line, too!). Don't bother swearing off chocolate and potato chips; the causes of acne are much more complicated. Fluctuating hormones and stress levels trigger excess oil production, while slowing the skin's natural exfoliation process—leading to clogged pores, multiplying bacteria, and ultimately, a pimple. Here's the good news: "Although acne is a chronic condition, it is very manageable and controllable. By keeping skin in optimal condition with a proper daily regimen of anti-inflammatories, antioxidants, and antibacterials you will avoid many of the skin problems associated with acne and post-acne breakouts," says Dr. Howard Murad, Los Angeles dermatologist and founder of Murad Skincare.

Honestly, there is no product that will take away your acne FOR GOOD. It is up to your body and hormones when acne will stop. However, there are ways to help prevent it and make it go away as long as you use the product. Currently, I'm using Proactiv solution. I HIGHLY recommend it. It's a three step system that you use in the morning and at night. Also, the refining mask works really well...it usually makes my pimples go away by morning! You use this 2-3 times a week. Also, I recommend drinking lots of water and try not to touch your face alot. The natural oil from your fingers does not help your face! Also, try not to spray hairspray on your forehead or get any hair products on the skin as this will cause more breakouts. The chocolate rumor is false, because my doctor told me it has nothing to do with acne. I eat tons of chocolate and it doesn't affect me. One last thing, get lots of sleep and try not to stress out as this might trigger breakouts. So if you are dedicated and want to have clear skin I suggest you purchase Proactiv solution. You must keep using it until you see that your skin is clearing up on its own. It is not that expensive for the kit. It is around $40.00, but it lasts anywhere from 2-3 months. I think it is worth it! You can also visit their website

Just using acne products is not enough. Taking care of you acne also has to deal with the way that you take care of yourself. A lot of times people take showers/baths in the morning. It is best that you take a shower every night. What happens is the natural oil from your hair and any cosmetics that you use in your hair during the day ends up leaking down to your face at night. That is why it is better to take a shower at night so that you get most or all of the oils in your hair washed out that you accrued during the day. Also getting a rag and rinsing it under hot water ( as hot as you can stand) and placing on your face before you take a shower also helps to open your pores on your face and get rid of any dirt or debris or any oil that has been trapped in your pores. Try these things and see if it helps. It worked with me and now I hardly get any more acne on my face. Hope this helps.

Stop eating sugar, white flour, white rice, bread, pasta and potatoes! Honestly, the obesity epidemic and acne epidemic are related. Try the Atkins, or South Beach Diet, or a low GI (glycemic index) diet such as a person with diabetes would eat. This really worked for me, as a side effect of controlling my blood sugar.
On top of that, any over the counter products with benzoil peroxide, salicylic acid and/or alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) are the best proven products.

From Wikipedia:
"High carbohydrates/High GI

It has also been suggested that there is a link between a diet high in refined sugars and other processed foods and acne. According to this hypothesis, the startling absence of acne in non-westernized societies could be explained by the low glycemic index of these cultures' diets. Others have cited possible genetic reasons for there being no acne in these populations, but similar populations shifting to these diets do develop acne.[citation needed] Note also that the populations studied consumed no milk or other dairy products.[7] Further research is necessary to establish whether a reduced consumption of high-glycemic foods (such as soft drinks, sweets, white bread) can significantly alleviate acne, though consumption of high-glycemic foods should in any case be kept to a minimum, for general health reasons.[8] Avoidance of 'junk food' with its high fat and sugar content is also recommended.[9] On the other hand there is no evidence that fat alone makes skin oilier or acne worse.

One study [specify] suggested that chocolate, french fries, potato chips and sugar, among others, affect acne. A high GI (glycemic index) diet that causes sharp rises in blood sugar worsens acne. [10] If this study's conclusions are verified then a low GI diet may help acne also, but a 2005 review of somewhat dated scientific literature cannot affirm either way.[11] A study in November 2006 in Australia gave a 50% reduction in 12 weeks in mild-moderate facial acne by introducing its subjects to a high protein, low GI diet.[12]"

A few of the best things to do are:

1. Cut out cokes, if you drink them. Slowly wean yourself off them, by only drinking two a day, then one a day, the none. It's hard, but it'll clear up your complexion well.

2. Wash your face twice a day with a good facial scrub.

3. Don't wear powder makeup, it'll clog your pores and lead to even more pimples.

4. Drink water. This will really help inprove your skin's condition.

5. Don't pop your zits.

This works for me, but I don't know if it will work for you. Everyone's skin condition is different.

And lastly: DON'T GET PROACTIVE. I used it for a year and two months and it did nothing but make my skin worse. It's a good waste of 60 bucks.
