Dismayed by the horrors of war which is bring ruin to peoples & nations, we plea to your loving Heart as our last hope. O God with tears we invoke Thee to end this fearful scourge. We humbly implore for peace . Thy Sacred Heart was shed over the world divine charity so that discord might end & love alone might reign among men. While on earth You had tender compassion for men: today with peoples burning hate, with bloodshed & slaughter. Once again we call to Your Thy Heart . Pity the countless mothers in anguish for the faith of their sons & daughters; pity the numberless families now bereaved of their fathers & mothers: Pity the whole world over which broods such havoc & disaster. Help world leaders to end this war so Peace can pervail . Bring all those serving home safe. Thank You Heavenly Father

2304 Respect for and development of human life require peace. Peace is not merely the absence of war, and it is not limited to maintaining a balance of powers between adversaries. Peace cannot be attained on earth without safeguarding the goods of persons, free communication among men, respect for the dignity of persons and peoples, and the assiduous practice of fraternity. Peace is "the tranquillity of order." Peace is the work of justice and the effect of charity.

Note what Jesus said in Luke's Gospel in chapter 12: I came to set the earth on fire, and how I fish it were already kindled" ....Do you suppose that I came to bring peace tot he world? No, not peace, but division"

There will NEVER be peace in this world until the coming of Jesus [2nd coming] Only in the 1000 year period referred to in Revelation will there be peace for this period of time as satan will be bound.
Itis therefor unscriptural to pray for peace, as there will never be peace. Man has a sinful nature and will never be able to live in peace with each other. Only Christ can bring peace.

Don't pray for peace, pray rather that people will come to faith in Jesus Christ.

our father prayer:
Our father which art in heaven hollowed be thine name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory forever.
Amen
First Jesus was telling us how to pray so he was talking.
So who is the father? And what is his name?
He said, "Our father" so it is his father to.
When Jesus sets up his rulership over the earth his will
will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
