you said it man!
Also, the fluidity of my beliefs and ideas. I don't want to kill or hate for them. I allow them to be challenged, and I think that keeps me honest :o)
GREAT question.

What's the best thing about being labeled something? Are you really a free thinker? Can a religious, God-believing person think? You betcha. Can they be scientists and philosophers, yea....has been that way and still is. Do we give them weight? Not really, after all this idea of "God" Isn't very "in" right now. Im a Christian and im fairly offended at these self-righteous presuppositions about someone, ...you are falling into that same self-righteous trap that some Christians do.
Freethinkers usually have their thinking pointed in certain directions because these same people saw the label, jumped on the bandwagon, and wanted to join the club. Now that you are a freethinker, better pontificate about how you'll use that "free-thinking" to bless others rather than feel special.

Not being held back by some archaic belief structure that clouds your own judgment. I would rather have a mind open to wonder than one closed by belief. I forget who said that, but it holds a lot of truth.

Free thinkers are able to think about things objectively outside of the realm of personal opinion, societal acceptance, and rule adherence...once you free your mental self from these 3 prisons...you are on the path to "free living"!

Thinking is never free - it always requires effort.
The difference is that some people want a free ride, so they stop thinking and start relying on blind belief in something.
That's how things like the Crusades get started.

Agreed. But I'll add that so much more clarity -- and self knowledge -- is possible when you aren't trying to conform your thoughts to some system of belief.

You said it already… freedom at all levels in life. Freedom for self and others, no need to prove nobody’s way false so as to confirm mine is correct, minus conflicts, better communication, and healthier relationships….

The pure exuberance and zest for life that being one brings. I guess that freedom in anything does that for people.
